Made Hoops Summer Finale Sunday Standouts

PH NorCal was at Momentous Sports Complex in Irvine CA, on Sunday July 20, for the final day of competition for the Cali-Live Summer Finale. Here are some of the players who played well while we were watching.    He's a hard playing guard with good handles and a solid body. He's an aggressive player when making his moves to the basket. He changes direction, goes hard forcing his way in for layups, and floaters. He showed good balance stopping on the dime for pull up jumpers. He's a physical player who can turn the corner on defenders. He pulled up for a couple of 3's from the top. The hard playing guard goes from Watch List to rankings.     A combo guard with good guard skills. He makes good use of his body and hands protecting the ball while driving into the paint. He uses screens, will pull up for quick jumpers, and 3ptrs off the dribble. He's on the aggressive side looking to put up shots coming down in transition, along the perimeter, and in the corner for no hesitation 3's.     He's a newcomer, plays with hustle. He has the skills to play inside/out depending on the situation. He has good activity around the basket going after rebounds, and finishing around the hoop. He had aggressive drives from the perimeter, moved the ball before cutting, he hit a couple of 3's. He has the size and energy to be a good defender, and rebounder.     He's a fast guard with quick movement. He has good ball handling, and vision. He had good quick ball movement around the perimeter. He found cutters to the basket, used his dribble to attack the paint for kick outs, or dump it off for assists to mates around the rim. He has a burst to get by for paint, and mid-range jumpers off the dribble. He has the foot speed to stick to ball handlers, plays at a good pace.     A long arm square shoulder forward with a good frame to fill. He has some tools to work with, but will have to polish them up to take his game to another level. He's a good defender with length to defend in the paint, he'll work the boards on both ends, get put backs, and he'll finish up around the basket, has a paint jumper. He's a passer, screener, and cutter. Good upside.
