Keswick Summer League: Versatility on Display

Inside the gym at Keswick Christian, a wide range of talent took the floor this week as the summer league action continued. From high-motor defenders to polished scorers and vocal leaders, this group of prospects made their presence felt in a variety of ways. Whether it was doing the dirty work, locking in on defense, or stepping up as a go-to guy, these five players showcased the kind of versatility that translates to winning basketball.    Roth continues to emerge as one of the more skilled two-way bigs in the area. At 6'6, he made his presence felt on both ends of the floor, altering shots at the rim and using his length to disrupt passing lanes. Offensively, Roth showed flashes of dominance: rising above the rim for dunks in transition and punishing smaller defenders in the post. He played with confidence and aggression, sealing defenders deep and scoring with touch. Roth's defensive instincts and growing offensive bag make him an intriguing forward to track as he enters his junior season.     Higman put on a performance that went far beyond the box score. The 2028 wing was the emotional leader of his squad, constantly flying around the court and making hustle plays that saved possessions and energized his team. Whether it was diving for loose balls or crashing the glass among bigger bodies, Higman did all the little things that lead to wins. Offensively, he carried the load, attacking defenders off the bounce and converting crafty floaters off the glass. His poise and leadership stood out on a young team, showing maturity beyond his years.     Adkins stood out with his two-way ability, using his long frame and impressive wingspan to disrupt plays defensively and cover ground on the perimeter. He contested shots, jumped passing lanes, and constantly made things difficult for opposing scorers. On the offensive side, he showcased his touch from the perimeter, knocking down shots with confidence. He played under control when attacking closeouts and finished calmly around the rim. With his size, instincts, and skillset, Adkins is a prospect with plenty of upside who continues to round out his game.     Mandel is the kind of player every team needs: smart, unselfish, and always in the right spot. The 6'0 wing put together a strong showing by playing within himself and impacting the game without needing the ball in his hands. His ability to back cut and find open space led to easy buckets, and he showed confidence knocking down multiple catch-and-shoot threes. Mandel's feel for the game, paired with his shooting and effort on both ends, make him a reliable contributor who raises the floor of any lineup he's in.     Brascom was electric from start to finish, bringing a level of energy and intensity that's hard to match. He's an elite athlete with sneaky bounce that caught defenders off guard, and he used it to finish plays around the rim and sky for rebounds. Defensively, Brascom was a nightmare: picking up full court, pestering ball handlers, and forcing turnovers with his active hands and relentless pressure. Offensively, he showed off a tight handle and excellent control, getting into the paint where he could either dish or finish with finesse. Brascom plays bigger than his height and was one of the most impactful guards on the floor.
