The summer of AAU is winding down as we head towards the end of July and man, what a summer it was for our in-state prospects. We had a host of players in every age group breakout and put their names on a bunch of college coaches radars at nearly all levels. With the summer coming towards an end, I thought it would be a great opportunity for us to take a look at 10 players from the guard, wings, and bigs that I feel should generate more interest when it comes to their recruitment. For this one, we take a look at our first five 2026 wings whose recruitment should boost up a little bit.

One of the more versatile forwards we have in the instate 2026 class comes from Princeton HS, [player_tooltip player_id='1560964' first='Edwin' last='Holmes']. He is a fluid athlete that can make plays both inside-and-out being very productive when he is on the floor. All levels should be looking at Holmes, but he does have some upside as a D1 prospect.

A wing that has just gotten better and better as the years have gone on is Heritage Hills shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='1560951' first='Jake' last='Prior']. The 6'' wing is a true scorer both as a shooting from deep and a guy that can mix it up in the lane getting to the rim or for a pull-up mid-ranger jumper. Long player that use his length to his advantage as a scorer.

A senior has been on the rise since the start of the AAU season is [player_tooltip player_id='2477117' first='Dayton' last='Stephens'], from Lawrence Central. With natural length and athletic ability on the wing, Stephens makes really strong plays off the bounce and one of the better wings at getting to the rim and finishing above it. He is also a versatile defender as well, something that can translate well at the college level.

One of our stock-risers in the 2026 class, Woodward has a chance to utilize together a special senior season with him transferring to Brownsburg. He plays the role as the secondary playmaker extremely well with an ability to make plays in transition, shoot it from deep, drive off the dribble. He has shown steady improvement over the years at the high school level and an intriguing prospect at the next level.

While he shown an ability to play more on the ball over the summer, the long-term upside of [player_tooltip player_id='2252744' first='Duke' last='Karnes'] is an off-the-ball wing that can score at a high level. One of the best pure shooters in the state, Karnes is extremely good at getting buckets off the catch and creating open looks for himself. Could easily be one of the breakout wings of the season with an increased role on Lawrence North.
