EYCL: Soldiers Arsenal In Augusta

PH NorCal was at the Augusta Convention Center Thursday afternoon July 10. The Oakland Arsenal EYCL teams were in action. Here is a rundown on this group that we were able to see while in Augusta.    His overall guard play, and productivity are trending up. His 3-point shooting is improved, he's been aggressive attacking the basket, beating defenders off the dribble, unafraid of contact, and long arm shot blockers bearing down on him in transition. He's making progress as a point guard, ball movement, penetrating the paint for kick outs, and using good lift on the paint jumper.     He's a fast ball handling guard, that has shown he can run the offense up top with patience, and ball movement. With head up he passes early in transition. He has the vision to spot shooters around the perimeter when driving. He can get aggressive off ball looking for his shots. Short jumpers, driving and challenging blockers around the basket. He's a good on ball defender, can be disruptive at times.     He's an intriguing prospect. He's long, wiry with a good skill set. At 6'6 he handles in transition and along the perimeter, a ball mover he makes good decisions. He can play on the perimeter, keep the offense in motion, he'll drive at times, or work his way around the post for paint points. He has length to defend in the post, he'll get rebounds.     He's working his way back into form after missing some time. He has size and deliberate movement working inside. He has some presence on the defensive side, to change and distract shooters with his size in the paint. Playing off two feet allows him to balance himself, and convert around the rim. He's a post passer, his points will come in the paint, he'll get rebounds.     He's an active combo guard, plays at a good pace. He has good ball handling, and foot speed that allows him to attack from different angles on the court including the baseline for short jumpers, and reverse layups. He has vision with good passing up court, and around the perimeter to involve others. He can hit the mid-range off the dribble, 3's in transition.     A strong solid body prospect with good power going up around the basket off two feet. He has good hands, ready to receive and scores in traffic. He'll run the court for transition buckets, or follow up misses for offensive rebounds. He's an active rebounder, goes after blocks. He's on the Watch List.
