LADERA RANCH — The adidas 3SSB circuit made its final stop of the July live period on the west coast as the majority of the shoe company's teams headed to OGP Ladera in Southern California for the 3SSB Earn Your Stripes Invitational. The event kicked off Thursday morning and droves of college coaches flooded the baselines and sidelines to watch the high-level recruits. Below we break down the top shooters we watched on Day 1.

Adam Oumiddoch | 2026 | Wildcat Select (KY)

The 6-foot-5 shooting guard heated up quickly in his first game of the day as he knocked in four of his eight three-point attempts. Oumiddoch is a lethal catch and shoot threat whose ability to get his shot off quickly with a high release point makes it difficult for opposing defenders to close out to. Oumiddoch is a smart off-ball mover who uses screens well and creates angles for passers by lifting or dropping.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560944' first='Bo' last='Ogden'] | 2026 | ASAK (TX)

Ogden has a very well-packaged and efficient offensive game and a lot of his success is predicated on his ability to stretch the floor off the catch. The 6-foot-5 wing has tight and fundamental shooting mechanics, possesses a strong base which leads great balance through his release. Ogden went 8-for-13 from distance on Thursday.

Derrick Morton-Rivera | 2026 | New Heights (NY)

Morton-Rivera fits the bill of a combo guard because he does take some ball handling and creation responsibilities but he is at his best when focusing on dropping in jumpers from the perimeter. Morton-Rivera is equally effective off the dribble as he is off the catch and can get hot in a hurry from mid and three-point range. The 6-foot-2 rising senior is quick to get his feet set, has a repeatable and high release point and gets great elevation into his true jump shot. Morton-Rivera went 8-for-14 from deep on Thursday.

Finley Billy | 2026 | Washington Warriors (DC)

While others were yawning and looking forward to heading to their hotel during the final game of the night, Billy was busy filling up the scoring column with a barrage of three-point shots. The 6-foot-7 forward hit seven triples, many of which were highly-contested, and helped lead the Washington Warriors to a win over New Heights. Billy showed his elite feel as an off-ball mover as he ghosted screens into off-move three's, used pin-downs smartly to get himself open and was confident in his ability to get his shot off in a variety of situations.

Joseph Hartman | 2026 | [player_tooltip player_id='2854586' first='Austin' last=''] Rivers SE Elite (FL)

Hartman's range knows no bounds and the ease in which he pulls from deep off the catch will translate immediately to the next level as the three-point line moves back a couple of feet. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard went 7-for-13 from deep on the opening day, and while he's on this list of best shooters, he also showed the ability to drive, score and create when needed.

[player_tooltip player_id='1424792' first='Silas' last='Rodriguez'] | 2026 | [program_tooltip program_id='2076309' first='Southern' last='Assault'] (TX)

Rodriguez was the star of one of the very first game I caught Thursday. The 6-foot-3 two-guard is a hard-nosed, tough and high motor player who has an elite skill and it's his ability to hit catch-and-shoot threes. Rodriguez is a catch-and-fire type of shooter who doesn't need a lot of time and space to get a clean look, but when he does get a clean one, you can put a three on the score sheet in pen.

Tyriq McNeal | 2026 | Team Lillard (CA)

McNeal has really improved his three-point shot over the last couple of years and was letting them fly confidently in the evening game we watched. The long, wiry and athletic 6-foot-6 wing is known for his slashing and finishing ability in transition and half-court offense but the added dimension of a reliable three-point shot addressed the next stage of his development. McNeal went 4-for-7 from distance in the game we saw.
