-Thompson put on a masterclass in his last AAU game ever, beating a good NW team by 28 while finishing with 35p 8r 3a 1s on 76/83/100 shooting splits. Thompson hit 3s both off the bounce and off of movement, drove past his matchup to finish with a flurry of step-thru's/reverse layups/floaters, and operated well with his back to the basket as both a scoring and passing hub for his team (3rd place in 17u). Love the pace and patience that Thompson plays with at both ends of the floor, never rushing but also without missing opportunities to blow past his matchup when he has a step. The handle has improved quite a bit to allow him to maneuver against wings or guards on the perimeter and he uses his size well to snag rebounds or shoot over his opponent. The talented wing will be one of the most sought-after players in the 2026 class at a national level.

-Really came away impressed with Drayton's motor despite how raw he is at this juncture. The young forward played much more aggressively down the stretch of what was a long week, using putback opportunities as a way to show off an impressive jump and + length. Drayton runs the floor incredibly hard, competes on the glass at both ends despite a slender frame, and uses his length to not only bother but block shots both on the perimeter and around the basket. Although his footwork on the low block is still a work in progress, he has the lateral mobility to slide well on the perimeter to bother guards on shows to blow up ball screens and keep the guard engaged until his teammate can fight over the ball screen. Really bright future ahead for this intriguing forward prospect.

-Loved the activity and tenacity at the defensive end of the floor as Quinones did a great job of protecting the rim for New Heights in the championship game. Quinones gets off the floor quickly, has great length and athleticism, has great timing for his jumps and usually stays down for shot fakes--but I really loved the "not on my watch" mentality even when the game was out of reach. The forward prospect was on the wrong end of a few tough whistles that led to foul trouble that hampered his aggression with the ball in his hands offensively. But Quinones didn't let that affect his rebounding down the stretch, earning two trips to the FT line down the stretch that kept the game within reach.

-Abraham was an absolute monster on the low block playing up for NW 15u group. Love the way that the incoming freshman leverages his size to carve out space for rebounding and easy finishes off the glass around the basket. Abraham has really good footwork for a prospect as big and young as he is but understands the importance of head fakes around the basket to earn trips to the FT stripe. Knocking down a high percentage from the charity stripe and keeping the ball high to avoid guards swiping away steals will be the two biggest keys to his development as he figures to earn playing time early with Clinton Grace

-Really liked the energy that Parker brought throughout the game at both ends of the floor as an effective W/F tweener that leveraged his athleticism to snag rebounds and finish in the paint. Parker knocked down a 3, finished above the rim in transition, and was a really dynamic free safety-type defender for Garner Rd in a nice win over NW to close out the week. Although the handle still needs a bit of fine tuning to navigate through traffic on the perimeter-- it was good enough to get him from the wing to the rim in an efficient amount of dribbles. Loved that even after a missed dunk, Parker hustled to get to the loose ball and earn a trip to the FT line-- that "next play" mentality is huge for the development of young prospects and bodes to a bright future ahead.
