2026 Newcomers From Cali-Live

These prospects are new to PH NorCal. Some we've heard about, but hadn't seen before Cali-Live, then there's some we're seeing for the first time at this event. PH NorCal is always on the look out for for new prospects who play well while we're watching.    Plaza makes his return to NorCal, to run the point guard position for the Ugly Eagles. He's a steady ball handler, good passing, plays at a good pace. He settles the offense, moves the ball around the perimeter, makes long passes up in transition. He has the handles, and foot speed to get his own shot. He gets into the paint for pull ups, he hit mid-ranges off the dribble, he'll shoot a 3ptr if left open. He applies good on ball pressure.     A good passing guard, helps relieve ball pressure in full court. He places the pass up court where only his teammates can get to it. He's a ball mover along the perimeter. He can run point, but mostly sets up along the perimeter. He hit the mid-range off the dribble, shot the open 3ptr. He helps on the defense, took a few charges      He has some defensive qualities to his game, alert, hustles back, gets on the floor, saves possessions. He'll sneak in from the weak side to get a steal. He's a good passing guard, has decent handles to get into the paint for shots, floaters, and passes. He hit open corner 3's, pulls up from mid-range. Plays at good pace. We'll see more.     He mans the paint for this team, standing 6'4, a strong body with a lower base doesn't get pushed around inside by taller players trying to own the block. He'll finished around the basket using his body, and going up strong off two feet. He's a good post passer, found cutters, and shooters, often. He sets solid screens to free up ball handlers, and cutters. He'll get his rebounds.     He spots up well around the perimeter for catch and shoot 3-point attempts, he can hit it. He has good speed going up court will finish layups through contact. He has a good stance on defense, along with foot speed and lateral movement.     A hard playing forward who goes all out defending. He's undersized but strong, and keeps himself balanced defending bigger players in the post area. He does a solid job of finding a body, then working for rebounds on both ends. He had multiple offensive rebounds for put back points. He'll pass, move, set solid screens to free up shooters, and cutters slashing to the basket. He gives good effort when on the court.     He's a key contributor on a team that won Section 7, and Cali-Live Bracket Titles. Undersized but has good strength, balance, and foot work defending bigger players in the post. He battle for rebounds, runs hard up court. He's a ball mover, reverses it, knows who to get the ball to. He's in constant motion, screening, cutting and working his way into the post for points, and rebounds. He'll finish in traffic around the rim.     Standing 6'7 long arms and body, still filling his frame, he's stronger than he looks. He's logging quality minutes this season for the State Champs. We'll call him a late bloomer with his best days ahead. He's starting and contributing, using his size defending in the post, he's getting rebounds, had a couple of offensive rebounds for put back points. He doesn't shoot 3's often, but did a hit a corner 3 while we were watching. He's a good passer.     Stepping up his level of competition for the upcoming high school season. Bruhn is a transfer from Woodland Christian a small school in Division V. There he was the 9th leading scorer in California averaging 31.2 ppg, made 78-3ptrs, shot 42% according to Stats. He has range beyond the high school 3-point line. He drops mid-range jumpers regularly. He has the handles to generate his offense, good hops to finish around the rim including dunks. We'll see more.     Playing in a solid back court, he might get overlooked at times until he makes a play. He's been a steady guard for this team. He brings experience, speed, good ball handling and passing. He doesn't make a lot of mistakes. On drives he hits floaters, and paint jumpers, he plays well off two feet, attacks from various angles. He has good court vision takes care of the ball.
