The Weekly Top Five!

(1) Southwest MN Stars

(2) [program_tooltip program_id='2888391' first='Minnesota' last='Comets'] Petermeier

(3) WOTN Hannah

(4) [program_tooltip program_id='2888391' first='Minnesota' last='Comets'] Elite

(5) [program_tooltip program_id='2888391' first='Minnesota' last='Comets'] Kuhl

Undefeated

WOTN Hannah went a perfect 5-0 all weekend including a 20 point win over WOTN Foley, including championship game win over WCU Regional, and a couple wins over Dakota teams. It pushed them to a 20+ win season and they brought home a weekend trophy.

A Strong One Loss Showing

Big weekend for the Southwest Minnesota Stars who beat Heat Conyers but 16, knocked off Hoop City South Dakota by two, and they beat the Comets by two scores. A loss to Sanford Sports Academy SD by 30+ was tough but the Stars already had three really big wins to get to the semi-finals giving them a big weekend.

Comets Petetmeier was 3-1 with a nice list of wins. They beat the Rise, knocked off the top [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota'] 16u team, and they beat WOTN Foley, and those were all close game wins. They lost to the North Dakota Phenom but the other three games were a major highlight for the team.

The Comets lost to the Southwest Stars so it was not the weekend they wanted but they did beat North Dakota Phenom which is a strong win for the weekend plus they beat the Wildcats and [program_tooltip program_id='2078859' first='Starks' last='Elite'] by double digits.

[program_tooltip program_id='2888391' first='Minnesota' last='Comets'] Kuhl, they won three of four games. They beat WOTN Kranz, knocked off two out of state teams, and then they lost to the second SSA team by 16. It was another really good weekend for a Comets 17s team.

Next Weekend!

The Minnesota Tune Up gives teams that haven't had a chance to play yet one more shot to get games in before the live periods. It's a Tune Up for the big weekend. And with seven top 20 teams in the event including a couple of the best teams in the state, the Tune Up should be a fun event for the days after the 4th.
