MESA, Ariz. — Arizona Athletic Grounds played host to the always-loaded Section 7 Team Camp over the weekend. The first scholastic live period of June brought together high school teams from Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, New Mexico and Florida and drew the eyes of more than 500 college coaches. Below we break down some of the California-based forwards and centers who raised their stock.

Achilles Orji | 2028 | Etiwanda

Orji spent most of his time on JV last season but quickly opened eyes in the first major event of his varsity career. The 6-foot-7 forward is an agile inside-out athlete whose just scratching the surface of what his skill-set could eventually become. He showed the ability to fill lanes and score in transition, beat defenders off the bounce and score with either hand around the rim and stretched the floor to the three-point line off the catch.

[player_tooltip player_id='2436266' first='Chris' last='Sanders'] | 2027 | Redondo Union

Sanders game is really interesting, and while it's hard to put a finger on what level he translates to, he always produces and contributes to winning. The 6-foot-4 lefty is a 15-feet and in offensive threat who bullies his way to the rim for physical paint finishes in transition and when facing up in half-court offense. Sanders is a versatile defender, high rate rebounder and high motor effort and energy guy.

[player_tooltip player_id='2622334' first='David' last='Abisogun'] | 2026 | Fairmont Prep

Abisogun is a prospect who always gets something done in each game he plays. Few prospects in the region play harder more consistently than the 6-foot-8 rising senior and it results in him impacting the boards on both ends of the floor. Abisogun controls the defensive glass, runs the floor in transition, and can score with finesse or power around the rim. The left-hander stepped out to 17 feet and showed face-up touch, as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2425665' first='Drew' last='Anderson'] | 2026 | Santa Margarita

Anderson brings a no nonsense approach to the game and does all of the glue guy things that helped Santa Margarita reach the championship game of its division. The 6-foot-9 forward is a fluid and coordinated athlete who scores inside through contact and is a threat to stretch the floor to the three-point line. Anderson's value is in his combination of size, skill, physicality and long-term potential as a versatile four-man.

[player_tooltip player_id='2435390' first='Ender' last='Berg'] | 2027 | Legacy Christian

Berg showed a ton of improvement since his transfer from Mater Dei to the Santa Clarita-based private school. The 6-foot-10 center was actively rim-running for easy baskets at the rim with soft touch and showed the ability to score when rolling or slipping out of ball screens. Berg played with great energy throughout the weekend and showed progress in his rim protection and all-around defensive presence.

[player_tooltip player_id='2131798' first='Jonas' last='Oware'] | 2026 | Long Beach Poly

Oware made some noise in his first Section 7 appearance with his combination of fluid mobility, energy and effort and ability to alter, deter and block shots around the basket. The 6-foot-9 center, who boasts a 4.0+ GPA, has been consistently improving over the last three seasons and his ability to execute ball screen defensive coverages should be the most intriguing aspect of his game for next level progams. Oware is a capable back to the basket offensive threat and, with continued work, has a chance to become a guy who can dominate a game on the block. The rising senior picked up an offer from Yale.

JP Pihtov | 2026 | Archbishop Riordan

Pihtov is becoming a priority target for mid-major programs out west because of his combination of size, skill and willingness to bring effort and energy to both ends of the floor. The 6-foot-9 rising senior is a reliable stretch four man whose ability to knock down three-point shots in trail and pick and pop situations are coveted skills that translate to the next level. Pihtov is a fierce competitor on the glass on both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2622319' first='Nikita' last='Kochnev'] | 2026 | Campbell Hall

Kochnev had his skillful interior finishing on full display throughout this event. The 6-foot-7 forward scores in the paint off of cuts, back to the basket touches and has the ball skills to handle and get to the rim in face-up or hand-off situations. Kochnev was very active on the offensive and defensive boards and played with a high level of confidence.
