The still-growing 6-foot-2 guard took over the reigns on the offensive end for Tualatin and the results showed - he eclipsed the career 1000 point mark, earned All-State honors, and helped lead the Timberwolves once again to the 6A state tournament.
"It went really well and I learned a lot," Lake said. "I just learned how to control the pace and play point guard and not be a shot-first guard. That will help me at the college level."

Speaking of the college level, Lake has been receiving quite a bit of recruiting interest. Weber State has offered a scholarship and he's also hearing from coaches at Cal Baptist, Dartmouth, Stanford, Washington, Washington State, the University of Chicago, and others.
This June, Lake has been running with his Tualatin teammates and the Timberwolves have played very well. As they enter Section 7 in Arizona and the WIBCA event at the end of the month with high hopes, Lake is looking forward to his senior year where he believes big things will happen. "I think we'll do really well if we all start buying in and start hustling, playing team ball, and not playing sloppy," Lake said. "It'll be solid."
