Longplex Puma Circuit

I attended one of Puma's Circuit long weekend events down in Tiverton, RI. I watched parts of a handful of games and these players deserve some recognition. I saw old players I wrote about who have good qualities if you are looking for a player at the college level and some new players to write about. Each of these players have unique styles and frames that make them impactful for their teams.    Attacks the class relentlessly, efficient mid-range game especially under pressure. Has a knack for creating space for his shots when nothing seems open. Defensively, very disruptive with getting his hands on the ball and capable of guarding smaller players.     A long lean athletic frame. Makes terrific accurate passes with one hand even opposite while in transition. He is capable of holding his ground on defense against stronger opponents. Offensively, this is what he can bring to the table, shoots from deep, handles the ball as a shooting guard and terrrific vision avoiding double teams/immense pressure feeding the ball to an open teammate. Has put on good weight since two years ago.     Athletically gifted with good bounce. He finishes in a multitude of ways especially around the rim even stretches the floor. He gets to the paint a lot, hard to guard. Handles the ball effectively and can be a great passer when he wants to.     Very quick with the ball, off the ball and makes for a pain guarding the ball. Has decent hang time for smaller guard. Efficiently scores around the rim with multiple finishes. This player will have a big senior year and should draw attention from opposing coaches and players.     A quiet sniper who is a glue guy for this Arise team. He has all the tangibles a coach looks for plays competitive defense, great ball handling skills, communicates on both ends of the floor. His quick release was impactful in the game, as much larger defenders struggled to block his shot. Continuing on his catch and release, he made an important tough corner pocket much needed three ball to keep his team alive down the stretch. He has a lot of composure doesn't get to high or too low and I would love to coach a kid like him.     Lots of potential with this player. Not afraid to mix it up with much larger older opponents. Can be a bully but also adds finesse to his game. Has a solid mid-range low post game but can stretch the floor at times. He is poised to have a big senior year at Newman and should draw the attention of many college coaches looking to bolster their roster with his talents.
