He put together quite the campaign this summer, which is showing now. He has become a much-improved defender, changing from an off-ball high IQ help side guy into a perimeter defender who forces guards to beat him from deep, not allowing drives to get past him. He is an athletic player who passed the eye test easily with a solid build and good skills on both ends. He looked to find contact often on drives and finished well when being closely guarded in the lane. He grabbed multiple rebounds and pushed the pace immediately getting the offense started before defenders could settle.
