Class of 2028 Prospect Rankings - New Names, Part Two

We are hard at work here in the month of June covering weekly high school leagues, team camps, shootouts, and much more. However, even during all of the busy scholastic competition going on this month, we also wanted to find time to update our prospect rankings. This week features our updated and expanded Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2028 Prospect Rankings. We are up to 35 ranked prospects and nearly 450 rising sophomore prospects total in the database as a whole after adding about 80 new names this update. As always, we will spend the whole week diving deeper in the rankings. Let's begin here with six prospects who broke into the rankings and/or Watch List.    Another Class of 2028 prospect "new name" that was added to our database after a strong spring with [program_tooltip program_id='2847679' first='Refined' last='Indiana'] on the Prep Hoops Circuit. Iovino made some noise with the Westfield Freshman team and continued his strong play into the spring. He is a true combo guard that can make plays as a primary ball handler or make shots as a catch-and-shoot threat. The 5'10" guard is definitely worthy of being added to our Watch List as part of this rankings update.     West Central featured two other freshmen in their primary rotation while Nannenga's older brother, a senior, led them in scoring. However, it is now Max's time to step up into a larger role and he has been added to our Watch List in time for his breakout. The 5'11" guard is an athletic driver with some strength and physicality to his game off of the bounce. As he continues to develop his outside shot his game will really be set to take a leap.     Another young big man in Indiana's Class of 2028, Rauch has a ton of upside potential. He already runs the floor well given his size and age and can elevate to play at/above the rim. The 6'8" center from Franklin County High School got his feet wet in some varsity action as a freshman, but has really shown his potential through the spring on the grassroots circuit. Definitely one worth following as he fine tunes his skill set and gets more comfortable on the low block.     There is no shortage of talent coming up through the system at Silver Creek High School. Similarly, Era Elite 15u is a loaded group that had a ton of success through the spring on the Prep Hoops Circuit. Thompson is a name to know from both programs. The 5'10" guard is an athletic playmaker with a smooth jump shot and a quick burst when getting downhill to finish. It will be fun to watch him carve out a role and compete against all of the talent that the Dragons have.     Anytime you come across a young prospect with this type of size you are going to be intrigued. We've had a chance to see Willing play a handful of times now with [program_tooltip program_id='2847679' first='Refined' last='Indiana'] on the Prep Hoops Circuit. The 6'8" big man from Guerin Catholic High School has flashed the ability to finish around the rim, rebound his area, and be disruptive on defense as a shot blocker or shot changer. Willing is still a bit raw around the edges, but as he continues to develop the size that he already possesses will allow for improvement to come rapidly.
