AOG Memorial Day Classic 2028-29 Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On Saturday May 24th I attended the<strong>&nbsp;Attitude of Gratitude Memorial Day Classic</strong>&nbsp;at the Phhacility in Phx.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I watched one 15U game and multiple 17U and here were</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">2028-29 Standouts</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2869831' first='Matthew' last='Draper'] Arcadia ([program_tooltip program_id='2867224' first='Phoenix' last='United'] 15) (Pictured)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A very skilled lead guard who has a cerebral approach to the game. He moves the ball, he will hit the open three and makes plays.  He is a good passer who can thread the needle. He can shoot it from the three point line, score with fall aways and knows how to use his body inside. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2869827' first='Nick' last='O'Neil'] St. Mary's ([program_tooltip program_id='2867224' first='Phoenix' last='United'] 15)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A scoring lead guard can fill it up with threes off the catch or dribble. He plays off of two feet and is really good off the pick and roll game. He finds the teammate every time it seems. He has next level feel and will score. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2747424' first='Henry' last='Short'] Brophy Prep ([program_tooltip program_id='2867224' first='Phoenix' last='United'] 15)&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A thicker framed power forward who likes the physicality of the game. He scores with downhill rip thrus thru contact with longer strides. He is a good passer from the high post and will set the hard pick and roll for the layup.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2716510' first='Spencer' last='Goldberg'] Arcadia ([program_tooltip program_id='2867224' first='Phoenix' last='United'] 15)&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A high IQ wing forward who can shoot the three off the catch. He can dribble to the basket and score plus he makes his money with his pinpoint passing. He definitely plays the game from the neck up. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2628387' first='Joseph' last='Estrada'] Cienega (RHJ 17)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A fluid post player who has some size and a little skill to utilize. He rebounds well with one or two hands and will score on put backs and drop steps. He is a sneaky good passer and brings energy with aggression.  </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2869839' first='Max' last='Libman'] Pinnacle ([program_tooltip program_id='2076648' first='Peak' last='Basketball'] Gold 15)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A downhill thicker guard who is also a football prospect with great lineage. He is supposedly very good on the gridiron. On the hardcourt he is a good passer with a high feel for the game. He scores using his stronger frame to get to the basket.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2735455' first='Tarik' last='Slaughter'] Pinnacle ([program_tooltip program_id='2076648' first='Peak' last='Basketball'] Gold 15)&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A long athletic wing forward. He scores on the break with either hand or inside with layups. He can hit the mid-range jumper or the three off the dribble and score with crafty layups around the hoop. He has some twitch and upside.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
