2029 Rankings Update: Point Guards to Watch

The point guard group is filled with talent and should put their talent on display this season. The 6'0 guard has a tight handle, which he uses to blow by his defender and finishes in a variety of ways around the rim. Mauro rarely gets rattled by on-ball pressure and finds his open teammates in the half court. He uses his instincts to get deflections on the defensive end and pushes the pace well in transition. The 6'0 guard attacks the basket with a purpose as he finishes strong around the rim and can draw contact in the paint. Brown can also score in the mid-range and sets his feet before he shoots. He works hard on the defensive end and has the ability to play off the ball as well. The 5'10 guard has a good first step, which he uses to blow by his defender and is a crafty finisher around the basket. Coleman is more than just a slasher as he has a good release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. He is an underrated passer and gets deflections on the defensive end. The 5'9 guard uses his handle to beat his defender off the bounce and finishes well around the rim. Grimsley can also score in the mid-range and moves well without the ball in his hands. He works hard on the defensive end and is an underrated passer. The 6'2 guard uses his handle to get to his spot on the floor and rises up with confidence on his jumper. Williams is a strong finisher around the rim and can also score in the mid-range. He has the length to defend both back court spot and can also play off the ball. Williams' ability to take over games is something that will help Gloucester Catholic make noise this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
