He can do a little of everything as a guard, but his strong suit is shooting. He likes to get to his mid-range jumper, and he can hit triples too. He can also make adjustments mid-air to get his shot up. Pointer is also the type of player who hustles on defense and he gets down on the floor to fight for loose balls. He can create his own shot off the dribble and is a good shooter from the perimeter based on what I have seen. He also has some burst to him and can burn his defender when they overplay him. He is a shifty guard who knows how to play some defense by keeping his feet moving. He also utilizes his lateral quickness on offense to maneuver by his opponents. In addition to his speed, he has some bounce and can go up for rebounds. He is a capable ball-handler who can and bring the rock up the court and he distributes it from there. Lester also has a 3-point shot in his bag and can connect if left open. He can also kick it out to his teammates for a clean look if the paint starts to get congested.
