[player_tooltip player_id='2425764' first='Semaj' last='Carter'] | Rancho Verde | Old Rank: 103, New Rank: 36

Carter has exploded as a high Division II / Low Division I prospect over the last few months as he played well with his Cali Rebels squad in the spring and had a strong showing with Rancho Verde at Section 7. The 6-foot-2 combo guard is both a physical and explosive athlete who puts pressure on the rim with his slashing and driving ability but can also create and make decisions at the point guard spot.

[player_tooltip player_id='2622332' first='Will' last='Malual'] | Crean Lutheran | Old Rank: 70, New Rank: 40 | Pictured

Like some of the other big men in this class, Malual's combination of fluid athleticism, sure hands and mobility defensively at 6-feet-8 are valuable traits to have in a class that lacks size. Malual is a defensive-oriented five-man whose length and rim protection instincts allow him to anchor the paint at the high school level. The rising senior needs continued offensive development but his soft hands, touch and dexterity around the rim are things you can't teach.

[player_tooltip player_id='2136707' first='Amir' last='Jones'] | Harvard-Westlake | Old Rank: 48, New Rank: 42

Jones value is in his big game experience and steadiness as a primary ball handler and decision-maker. The 6-foot-3 rising senior has played with and against a lot of talented players across the country in his time at Harvard-Westlake and that experience has paid dividends in his controlled approach to game management and setting the table for teammates. Jones has shown improvements to his catch and shoot three-point shot and that will be key to how successful he can be at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='2131806' first='Gavin' last='Dean-Moss'] | St. John Bosco | Old Rank: 63, New Rank: 43

We wrote earlier this week about Dean-Moss being one of the biggest stock-risers among California players at Section 7 and that also earned him a nod as a stock-riser in our 2026 rankings update. Dean-Moss has been an important reserve at Bosco for the last three seasons and is clearly taking steps to prove he can crack the Braves' starting lineup. Dean-Moss is an elite on-ball defender with his toughness, lateral speed, quick hands and sheer determination to get stops.

[player_tooltip player_id='2131801' first='Aiden' last='McIntyre'] | Leuzinger | Old Rank: 104, New Rank: 45

McIntyre made his presence known as one of the more dynamic scorers and creators among SoCal guards. The 6-foot-2 lefty is a quick and shifty blow-by guy with the ball in his hands and excels in isolation situations where he uses his quick twitch and burst to earn paint touches. McIntyre is a savvy finisher around the rim with quick first jump, body control and ability to use the glass to his advantage.

Timothy Dorn | Mira Mesa | Old Rank: 94, New Rank: 49

Dorn moved into the Top 50 because of his effortless athleticism that comes with his long, wiry 6-foot-7 frame. The San Diego-based prospect has physical and athletic traits that you can't teach and his ability to impact the game as a slasher and transition lane-filler and finisher allow for an uptempo type of offense. Dorn has a ton of upside and could be a sleeper Division I recruit with development of his jumper and defensive acumen.
