ZG Stars and Stripes Classic: Expressions Elite standouts part 2

This weekend, I attended Zero Gravity's Stars and Stripes Classic at Dana Barros Basketball Club in Stoughton, MA. I watched some of all three high school divisions (freshman, sophomore, and varsity), but of course didn't get to watch the majority of teams/players. I'll have coverage coming throughout the week from this tournament.   First up, I got to watch a bunch of Expressions Elite teams who were competing in all three high school divisions. Most of these kids are 8th graders, so they were playing up 1-3 age groups. Impressive.   <a href="https://prephoops.com/2025/05/zg-stars-and-stripes-classic-expressions-elite-standouts-part-1/">Here is part one of my Expressions standouts.</a>    Kinney is a fascinating long-term prospect. The 6-foot-6 eighth grader was dominating on the boards in the freshman division, and he looks surprisingly athletic and coordinated for his size and age. The lefty has nice body control and touch around the rim and just has the look of someone who's about to grow a lot more. He currently goes to Walpole Middle School and is planning to go to Walpole High School next year, though I can't imagine he'll stay there for too long if his development continues the way it should. Definitely keep an eye on him moving forward.     Augustin was fairly dominant for Expressions. He looks like a bulldog — really strong and built for his age — and he knows how to use his strength. On takes to the rim, he holds his line super well and is able to get to the front of the rim consistently as a result; once he gets there, he takes contact very well and can finish at the hoop, especially with his left. He's also a great rebounder for his size and defends at a high level. I'll be curious to see how his body and skillset develop moving forward, but he's in a really solid spot right now.     Frye is small and underdeveloped physically but you can tell he understands how to play the game at a high level. The 5-foot-11 guard is super fundamentally sound and always ready to shoot when the ball comes to him on the weak side. He attacks closeouts quickly and decisively when the defense overplays and he has a really nice-looking three-point shot. Once the athleticism and size come — and it looks like they will with time — he'll be in a great position to be a really nice player.     Hill is a 6-foot-5 big-man for Expressions who has some really interesting skills. He's big and strong for his age but also is very coordinated and fights his behind off on both ends. Even in a blowout win, he was competing hard on the offensive and defensive glass and defending opposing bigs with lots of effort. Offensively, he has great strength in the paint and can really pass well for his size; I can imagine him developing into a really nice offensive hub as he gets older. Oh, and he can shoot it, too. Fascinating future ahead for Hill.     Jahmari is the younger brother of [player_tooltip player_id='1529071' first='Jaylen' last='Harrell'] — who's going to play ball at Providence College next season — and you can tell. Like his older brother, Jahmari can shoot the lights out and has a beautiful release. He's only 6-foot-1 right now (so he probably has a lot more room to grow), but he uses his body well to ward off defenders and has great touch in the lane. The future is bright for Harrell, who has an older brother to show him the ropes; he certainly is starting to look more like Jaylen, too.
