In this article I look back at the better post players that I was able to watch at this year's Prep Hoops Live.

Sage Hanson ND Phenom 6'9 2026

Hanson was arguably the best post player in the event. He's an athletic big man who can play on the inside or out. Sage likes to play above the rim but is also a threat from the perimeter. He has added several offers since playing this weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='2399378' first='Mason' last='Moore'] Lockdown 6'6 2026

Moore is a big man who boasts the attributes of athleticism and length. He's a solid shot blocker and rebounder while still improving his overall offensive game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2875676' first='Elijah' last='Anderson'] IL Stars 6'7 2026

Elijah is a skilled back-to-the-basket player who should be looking to earn minutes with his high school team. He's a good rebounder and is very capable of being a rim protector as soon as he works on his timing.

Ahmi Spears ND Phenom 6'8 2027

Spears is an up-and-coming pick and pop guy who will soon mix in some rolls to the basket once he starts dunking more. With his size and ability, he's already drawn some intrigue from D1 schools.

[player_tooltip player_id='2323326' first='Jordan' last='Shaw'] [program_tooltip program_id='2075957' first='The' last='Work Foundation'] 6'4 2026

Shaw is a physical forward who scored a lot in the paint. He was at his best when catching passes in a crowded paint and scoring through contact. Jordan was also hard to keep off the glass. Can be a late-blooming big man for the Meteors next season.

Tyree Jacob Splash Athletics South 6'6 2026

Tyree is a mobile big man with an offensive lineman build. He moved well with the ball and knew how to maneuver with his back to the basket. Jacob is a dependable rebounder who does track some down outside of his area.

[player_tooltip player_id='2461653' first='Eion' last='Ikner'] [program_tooltip program_id='2078449' first='Meanstreets' last=''] National 6'7 2025

Ikner is a player who caught my attention with how active he was on the glass and how well he ran the court. He is a legit 6'7 forward who uses fundamentals to score around the rim. Eion is a name that some JUCOs could land and have a diamond in the rough.

[player_tooltip player_id='2830631' first='Mekhi' last='Collins'] PowerHouse Sports 6'6 2026

Collins is another big football body type forward who played with good intensity and footwork. He scored around the basket with head fakes and jump hooks. Mekhi isn't afraid of initiating contact and is a very good space eater in the paint.
