The Loris based program won 3 games on Sunday to win the title. Khalid and Khalil both swarm to the ball to cause chaos on the defensive end of the floor. Harris a left-handed undersized shooting guard scored all of his points in the 2nd half in the lopsided win.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>Maine, North Carolina, Georgia, West Virginia in South Carolina</em></strong>:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The NTBA South Carolina State Tourney featured several teams from outside the Palmetto State. Prep Hoops saw and counted Georgia, Maine (Yes that's true), North Carolina and West Virginia at the 3-day event in Myrtle Beach. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>Knights Have Impressive Showing</em></strong>:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Carolina Knights finished in 2nd place after losing a close one to Hoops West Virginia 64-62 in the 10th Grade Championship Bracket. The Knights who hail from Clarendon County finished the weekend at (4-1). </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Carolina Knights had some notable names on the roster with <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2454355' first='Lovell' last='Stevenson']</strong>, <strong>Lovon Stevenson</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2454352' first='Jordyn' last='Thompson']</strong> and<strong> [player_tooltip player_id='2618083' first='James' last='Gamble']</strong> to name a few. Lovell really likes the rock in his hands while bringing the ball up the deck. He rebounds the ball very well from his position on the floor. Lovell certainly likes to play with some SWAGGER at times and confidence. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2454352' first='Jordyn' last='Thompson']</strong> is a very slender-sleek athlete who really looks to cherry pick and stay out high most of the time. Thompson has a very long and rangy wingspan. He really likes to have the ball in his hands and shies away from contact whenever possible. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2618083' first='James' last='Gamble']</strong> a left-handed guard just finished his freshman season for the East Clarendon HS Wolverines. Gamble excels in the fall on the football field for the blue and white. Mack just an 8th grader already has good size and foot work around the paint area. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>Maine in the Palmetto State</em></strong>: </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>XL Thunder 2027 Morgan is a team from Southern Maine who played this past weekend at the NTBA South Carolina State Tourney. Pow showed to have some good quicks to the cup and really did a nice job on touching the paint on a regular basis here today. Pow plays at Kennebunkport HS. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Mark Lapointe III</strong> plays at Noble HS was a very physical and agile forward here today. Colin can stick an open jumper in a defender's face or go down low and score on the block. He plays his game very efficiently on both ends of the court. Colin was able to finish at the rim with his left-hand here today.
