The Midwest Melee brought together some of the region's best young shooters. These middle school players impressed with their range, confidence, and ability to create open looks from deep, offering a glimpse of the next generation of perimeter threats. Check out these promising 13U three-point specialists making waves at the event!    Confident spot-up shooter who's always ready to let it fly. Flashed a developing step-back along the perimeter, showing comfort creating space, though consistency can continue to improve. Has a go-to hesitation move that keeps defenders guessing, helps generate clean looks from three, create separation under pressure. Profiles as a three-point specialist with raw scoring instincts and the tools to become a more dynamic perimeter threat as his shot-making matures.     Smooth-shooting guard with a growing reputation as a long-range threat. Showed understanding of how to navigate off-ball screens to create space, finding clean looks from beyond the arc. Connected on multiple threes—including a banked three—and caught fire in the second half during a tough matchup against Kessel 7 National. Appears most comfortable at the top of the arc, where he showcased deep range and confident rhythm shooting. Flashed real potential as a distance shooter who can score in bunches when he gets going.     Young shooter with deep range and a confident stroke. Consistently stayed in a shooter's stance, ready to catch and fire without hesitation. Showed off his range against FVV Elite, knocking down multiple threes and stretching the defense well beyond the arc. Plays with poise for his age and doesn't shy away from the moment. A promising perimeter weapon with the mindset and mechanics to grow into a high-volume threat.     Lefty spot-up shooter with clean arc and touch from deep. Shows good feel off the ball, sliding into open windows along the perimeter when teammates drive, creating quality catch-and-shoot looks. While his release could be a bit quicker, the mechanics are sound and repeatable. Mellock plays with smarts and understands spacing, making him a reliable outlet on the wing. He connected on 3–4 threes during Sunday morning play with [program_tooltip program_id='2391400' first='Team' last='Herro'], reinforcing his value as a developing perimeter threat.     Undersized combo guard with clean rotation on his shot and the confidence to let it fly from deep. He consistently found open looks and cashed in, showing a clear eye for spacing and timing. Flashed point guard instincts with moments of decision-making, balancing when to shoot and when to distribute. Still developing as a lead guard, but his three-point touch and feel for the game give him upside.     The corner three is clearly his comfort zone, and he consistently looks to spot up there in both transition and half-court sets. His footwork and balance in that area stand out for a middle school player, and throughout the weekend, he showed growth in reading closeouts and attacking off the catch when defenders overcommitted. Singh is a volume shooter with smooth mechanics and solid shot preparation. As he continues to improve his shot selection and develop as a decision-maker, he projects as a reliable floor-spacer and potential deadeye from deep. A clear 3-point weapon for Dream Ballers and one to monitor as he gains strength and confidence.
