He anchors the paint as he is the team's tallest player and was one of the tallest in the 14u division. The interior defense he provided was key in not letting opposing players get easy paint points. He has a good sense of what spots he capitalizes off of and dribbles into them with confidence when the opportunity comes. CJ has good ball handling skills along with a good pace that he is patient with most times. When he doesn't have a good look under the basket he passes out the post to open teammates coming away with some assists. Abas rebounds well on both ends of the floor using his frame to carve out room when shot come off rim. Defensively he puts pressure on ball handlers making his assignments uncomfortable making them pass majority of the time. When the opportunity came, he got passes from his teammates to finish inside the paint making a good rate of touches.
