Abas Ahmed is a formidable force in the paint, known for his ability to create post moves and create easy high-percentage points. His passing out of the post was particularly impressive, as he made plays for teammates on the perimeter who were often ready to shoot. Ahmed is also a reliable rebounder, especially on the offensive end, where he makes an effort to secure second-chance opportunities. In one close game I watched him play in, he was willing to take the last shot to lead his team to victory!

What’s next for Abas?
The current sophomore Abas Ahmed delivered an exceptional performance during the Prep Hoops Circuit, and I anticipate continued success during the fall season. Considering his size, he poses a significant threat in the post, and with that in mind, he has the potential to enhance his game in the next two years of high school. Equipped with the necessary tools and a mindset to make big plays, he has a promising future ahead!

 If you get posted up by Abas Ahmed, you should probably already count the basket as he uses his physical frame to back opposing players deep into the paint before going up for an easy layup. When he doesn’t have a good look under the basket he passes out the post to open teammates coming away with some assists. Abas rebounds well on both ends of the floor using his frame to carve out room when shot come off rim. He had a game winning shot against Team Phoenix Black 14u showing he’s capable of making clutch plays when it matters most.
