ND Phenom 2026: Team Preview

PHD is back for another Team Preview. We are highlighting an elite program, [program_tooltip program_id='2075741' first='ND' last='Phenom']!   This piece will focus on NDP's 2026/17U squad. Joe Ware is the head coach. This team is loaded with future college basketball players. Nd Phenom is primed to put on a show this spring/summer. Look for NPD to make some noise on the PH Circuit! [player_tooltip player_id='1355920' first='Braylen' last='Schirado'] - 6'1" Guard - Beulah   "Braylen was 1st Team All-State in high school and was the clear leader of a State Tournament team. He is an incredible movement shooter and has the ability to finish at the rim. Competes defensively. He currently holds an offer from Minot State University and has other schools involved."   [player_tooltip player_id='1327797' first='Carter' last='Evanson'] - 6'4" Guard - Horace   "Carter was 1st Team All-State in high school. He is a game changer on both ends of the floor. Very deep range. Plays above the rim. Very opportunistic defensively. Carter holds an offer from North Dakota State University and is receiving other D1 interest from a few conferences.  Holds multiple Northern Sun offers as well."   [player_tooltip player_id='1484338' first='Brooks' last='Bakko'] - 6'6" Guard - Kindred   "Brooks is a 2027 playing up a stage. Brooks is a 2 time 1st Team All-State player for Kindred. He recently hit the game winner in the State Championship. Can score at all levels. Plays well above the rim. Holds several D1 basketball and football offers. Brooks is a generational talent in North Dakota."   [player_tooltip player_id='1545213' first='Kenyatta' last='White'] - 6'4" Wing - Bismarck   "Kenyatta had a very up-and-down high school season. He is a tenacious on-ball defender and incredibly effective in transition. Can guard multiple spots."   [player_tooltip player_id='1332142' first='Colton' last='Reinke'] - 6'6" Wing - Fargo Davies   "Colton had a nice season for runner-up Fargo Davies. He can stretch the floor, is switchable, and plays the game in a very intelligent way. Rarely will make a mistake on either end of the floor. Great length. Colton is receiving interest from schools in the Northern Sun."   [player_tooltip player_id='2828718' first='Sage' last='Hanson'] - 6'9" Forward - TGU   "Sage is a do-it-all all forward. Can play well above the rim, score on the block, off the bounce, and from the perimeter. Has great length and is an incredible rim protector. Sage is receiving interest from multiple D1 conferences and has received offers from Minot State University and the University of Jamestown."   [player_tooltip player_id='1422857' first='Jonathan' last='Roubideaux, Jr.'] - 6'8" Power Forward - Bismarck Legacy   "Jonathan is the lone new addition to our group. He is great with his back to the basket and has the ability to stretch the floor. He is a guy who loves basketball. He will be a guy for coaches to get eyes on early."   [player_tooltip player_id='2106993' first='Nelson' last='Decoteau'] - 6'9" Center - Dunseith   "Nelson is a 2027 playing up a stage. Nelson is an enforcer. Traditional back to the basket big with some stretch ability. He is great on the glass and finishing. Physical screen setter. There is just a lot to like." We had a successful season in 2024 and found success when we played up in 17u.  We feel that the players have improved across the board and are excited for the added dimension that our new addition brings to our team.   PHD: How often will your team practice/work out?   "We have skill workouts 3 times per week and get together on a few weekends."   PHD: What are your goals for this team?   "We hope to have every player compete at their highest level and earn additional opportunities to play after high school."   PHD: What are a couple of your strengths as a team?   "The group has played a lot of games together and are connected on both ends."   PHD: What style of basketball will you play on offense?   "We blend an inside-out motion with a good number of sets."   PHD: What brand of defense do you foresee your team playing?    "We will pressure and play man."   PHD: Is there an event/tournament you are most looking forward to?   "Every event is exciting. It is always good to be in the gym with this group."   PHD: Who are a couple of underrated players on your team?   "[player_tooltip player_id='1332142' first='Colton' last='Reinke'] was probably the best player in AA North Dakota to not be named All-Conference. He is a perfect glue guy who will play in his role.  He guards, rebounds, and makes shots."   PHD: What do you foresee being the identity of your team?   "We will always pride ourselves in our ability to contest shots and rebound defensively.   PHD: Feel free to add anything else about your team that you find relevant.   "We have 9 guys on this roster with the ability to play college basketball at some level. Coaches at all levels may find a nice piece for their program in watching our team play."
