Big Shots Myrtle Beach Jam: Saturday’s New Names to Know

Rhodes Myrtle Beach Sports Center. This was my first-ever trip to the MB Sports Center and my first Big Shots event this Summer, setting the table for the first day of action. These five prospects are names that were new to me this weekend and ones I will continue to monitor throughout the Summer. He had a really strong performance in the Heat's 47-26 win over LP Elite (MD). Marcus was extremely impressive on the defense end early, forcing turnovers and tough shots every time he was on-ball. Peoples moves his feet well and is persistent in containing the ball on that end. He is also a capable perimeter shooter and can get into the paint thanks to his speed with the ball. You wouldn't tell he is a Freshman based on the way he runs TB's Offense, as he is composed in making reads and putting teammates in good spots. Bryant plays with his head up at all times and utilizes a quick spin move and a nasty crossover to get by defenders. He attends nearby Myrtle Beach High School and runs with [program_tooltip program_id='2298066' first='The' last='Private Snipaz'], a program that has been very successful on the Big Shots Circuit this Spring. Brown did a little bit of everything in the Game Two win putting up 7 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. When I checked in with them, Curry immediately opened the game with a made three, knocking down one from straightaway on the first possession. He later hit a spot-up three on the right wing as well. Although Ryan had one of the purest strokes in the gym Saturday, he was also effective by getting in passing lanes and picking pockets on the defensive end, and handling the ball and making decisions on the offensive end. His performance balanced scoring and facilitating throughout the game, finishing with 8 points and 6 assists. Jordan looked to drive the baseline often, allowing him to find teammates as the defense collapsed. Brockington has good footwork around the paint and is patient with the ball. He also displayed a nice package for scoring the ball, including floaters and a few finishes through contact.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
