LONG BEACH — Dinos Trigonis held his annual Best of SoCal Showcase in Long Beach last weekend and there was a strong group of current freshmen who took the floor. We broke down the best class of 2027 prospects we saw on Saturday.

Cayden Brown | Millikan

Brown is a 6-foot-3 wing who impressed with his ability to get things done on the boards. Brown used his fluidity, length and athleticism to rebound in and out of his area on both ends of the floor. Brown also showed impressive touch and ability to use angles to get a clean look at the rim in traffic.

Jackson Duffy | Riverside Poly

Duffy was one of the more confident scoring guards we saw in this event. The wiry and athletic 6-foot-4 sophomore was knocking down three's with deep range consistency off the catch and off the bounce and used his combination of physical and athletic tools to slash his way to the paint and finish at the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='2646910' first='Jarrell' last='Session'] | Jordan

Session flashed an impressive scoring package that included isolation and within the offense efficiency. The 6-foot-3 combo guard has impressive feel for creating space in 1-on-1 situations as he uses an effective change of speed to get his defender off balance and earned countless paint touches where he finished craftily around the basket. Session also showed a smooth mid-range jump shot off the bounce.

Justin Huffman | Jordan

Huffman is an undersized four/five man who was extremely effective in this event because of his ability to score with his back to the basket. There weren't many defenders who were able to stop the 6-foot-5 forward as his combination of footwork, touch and strength allowed him to seal post position and get into a quick and decisive move on the block.

Noah Rowley | Vazquez

Rowley's combination of speed with the ball and first-step burst made him a near-automatic paint touch in transition and half-court offense. At 5-feet-8, Rowley needed his speed and craftiness to overcome his lack of size and it did just that as he used his athletic traits to create offense in downhill situations where he finished with floaters and savvy layups around the basket.

Sean Palmer | San Gabriel Academy

Palmer was one of the most talented guards we saw on the day as his combination of quickness, strength and open court speed allowed him to create easy offense for himself and teammates. Palmer used his explosiveness to blow-by his primary defender and his strength to keep that defender on his hip and score in the lane through contact. The 5-foot-9 point guard also made simple but effective passes in drive-and-kick opportunities.
