The spring AAU season is in full swing as the first full week of May is almost halfway done. The 2027 class is looking to make its mark on the hardwood this spring, especially in the front court. Here are the 2027 unranked forward prospects to track this month.

[player_tooltip player_id='2845837' first='Malachi' last='McKelvin'], 6'7 PF Phillipsburg

McKelvin is a bit of a raw prospect, but he has the opportunity to blossom this month. The 6'7 forward runs the floor hard, setting himself up for easy dunks in transition. McKelvin swats a ton of shots around the basket and skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor. He uses his body to get position down low and has a nice touch around the basket. McKelvin's stock has the chance to skyrocket this May if he can play with consistency in the paint at both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2845839' first='Zair' last='Henry'], 6'6 PF Dickinson

Henry can also play on the wing at times, but his ability to play closer to the basketball will be on display this month. The 6'6 forward knows how to get position down low and has a good touch around the basket. Henry can also put the ball on the floor and can knock down open jumpers in the mid-range. He fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor and is an underrated shot-blocker. Henry has the potential to shoot up the rankings if he is able to consistently stretch the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2858263' first='Zach' last='Derstine'], 6'11 PF Wayne Valley

Derstine can also play center, which will help his game throughout the course of the month. The 6'11 forward plays with good footwork in the post and has a soft touch around the basket. Derstine is effective in the pick and roll game as he sets strong screens and rolls hard to the basket. He works for rebounds on both ends of the floor and uses his length to swat shots around the rim. Derstine is a long forward prospect who should have a strong spring with his ability to block shots and finish around the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='2858267' first='Oscar' last='Martinez'], 6'5 SF St. Peter's Prep

Martinez will showcase his ability to play on the wing, which will help his development in a big way. The 6'5 wing has a good first step, which he uses to get to the basket and finishes well around the basket. Martinez moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open jumpers and layups in the half court. He has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor and is an underrated rebounder. Martinez is a skilled forward prospect who should put his full game on display this spring.

[player_tooltip player_id='2858280' first='Eshaw' last='Iddi'], 6'7 PF Patrick School

Iddi is transferring into the Patrick School and is looking to showcase his future value to the Celtics this May. The 6'7 forward explodes off the floor for dunks and can draw contact in the paint. Iddi can also put the ball on the floor and rarely forces jumpers in the half court. He rips down rebounds on both ends of the floor and uses his athleticism to make plays on the defensive end. Iddi is an athletic forward prospect who should make a name for himself throughout the course of the month.
