Its Spring, and PH NorCal has been out and about evaluating prospects in all the classes. Here are 2027 prospects who caught our eye with their play on the court. Some played Varsity, others had productive seasons on the JV and have a chance to be contributors on the varsity with a productive Spring.

[player_tooltip player_id='2352702' first='Bentley' last='Morrow'] 6'5, SF, Marin Catholic: NBBA 16U UA Rise
He's an improving prospect, with improved ball handling in transition, and around the perimeter. He's showing a certain amount of aggressiveness in the Spring. Actively looking for his shots, squaring up, attacking the basket. He's giving good effort defending going straight up to distract/change shots, and going after rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='2136700' first='David' last='Isola'] 6'2 Casa Grande CG: Stack 17
He's an excellent passer, with vision, sees the court to makes long passes up court after rebounding. He has a good defensive stance, gets wide, arms away from the body, lateral movement working to stay close, he doesn't give up, he'll challenge the layup. He's a solid body with some tools to get a bucket.

[player_tooltip player_id='2136703' first='Elton' last='Loud'] 6'3 Bishop O'Dowd G/F: NBBA 16U UA Rise
A good size lefty, he can handle up top, set the offense. He used a quick crossover, and a burst for strong drives to the basket, or showed he can weave his way through, for points and assists. He's an active rebounder looking for put back points. Positions himself on defense, help, denial using lengthy arms might get a steal.

[player_tooltip player_id='2440141' first='James' last='Barnes IV'] 5'10, PG, Clayton Valley Charter: NBBA 16U UA Rise
A stocky quick handed point guard who'll get steals. He's an excellent ball handler with quick crossover moves to get by defenders, he'll finish in traffic, plays through contact. He has speed, lateral movement and leverage to stick to ball handlers, and stay close to shooters. He can generate a bucket. We'll see more.

[player_tooltip player_id='2851837' first='Sammy' last='Cetoute'] 6'1 G/F, Casa Grande: Stack 17
On a team without much height Cetoute has the strength and leverage to defend bigger players in the post area. He knows how to use his body on both ends. He makes long passes up court, after rebounding. He can play along the perimeter looking to hit a 3ptr, or take it to the basket absorbing contact.

[player_tooltip player_id='2440989' first='Barack' last='Volsan'] 6'3,G/F, Lincoln, Stockton: Port City 16/17
He has improving guard skills that allows him to help bring the ball up when pressure is applied. He sees the court, doesn't get flustered, he'll dribble or pass it up. Playing up he's more of a ball mover, who'll slash/cut. He has the length and movement to be a player who can defend on the perimeter, help inside. He used a couple of dribble drives to get closer, got a few rebounds. good upside.

[player_tooltip player_id='2836275' first='Leo' last='Some'] 6'7 F/C Clayton Valley, Nor Cal Elite 17U
The development continues, we do see progress. He's getting lots of court time this Spring working mostly from the top, as a ball reverser, using one or two dribble hand offs, setting screens before sliding down to the post, he's making the pass from the post out to shooters, or will find a cutter. On occasion he'll use his size to turn and go up. He can be a distraction defending in the post.

Liron Cojocaru 6'5 G/W, Monte Vista, Infinite 17u Gold
A big guard for now. He's handling the ball often bringing it up court, and setting the offense in half-court. He has improving handles, good vision to move the ball around the perimeter, he has work to do as a guard. He'll work the high post with good passing, he can hit the short jumper inside, find open players. He has the length to defend bigger players, and help rebound.
