Every winning team or organization must consider close games that are decided by 5 points or less. Not only are game planning and time-outs vital in those situations, but the right personnel are key. Teams must have the right personnel in the game at the right moments to secure a high probability of winning close games. Without these guys, the game planning is futile. Winning tight games requires guys who are willing to dive on the floor for loose balls, chip a tooth or 2 on the hardwood, swing a few elbows fighting for a contested ball, and especially guys who love to run until they are completely out of gas and then, after that, run some more. Have you ever been watching a basketball game and wondered why certain players are even in the game, due to their lack of scoring or lack of stature? The reason is simple: the coach prefers to win the game! Here is a list of 5 - 15U 50/50 ballers any team would love to have to secure a close game for them.

6ft and has a frame to be even bigger. Plays with a smile on his face. The dirtier the game gets, the more he thrives and the bigger his smile gets. He is not afraid to throw a few elbows to retrieve a loose ball. Does not need a play drawn up for him to get double-figure points.

Plays with a sense of pride regardless of the score of a game. If he commits a turnover, he will definitely be the first person on the floor to retrieve it. Respects the game and plays hard with a great attitude. The older he gets, the more valuable he will become due to his good size and length. Has a bit of a hitch in his step, but he makes up for it with effort. He is also a kid who tends to focus on the fundamentals of the game as opposed to trying to impress a crowd.

Plays great perimeter defense at guard and can slide his feet with anyone. Kiyree can run for days, and I am highly impressed with his motor. He has solid defensive fundamentals and keeps his hands active. Plays for the Illinois Warriors Elite 15U AAU Squad.

Big wing player who has a very impressive motor. When watching him, it looks like he is everywhere on the court at the same time. Almost omnipresent. He is not a stat stuffer on either side of the ball, but this is a good thing. Blake's impact is on winning. He doesn't mind shooting either and gets good lift and rotation on the ball, especially when shooting from beyond the arc on the wings.

Great all-around team player. Willing to do whatever it takes to get loose balls. Makes the right passes. Plays a clean-dirty game and does it with a good attitude. Perfect plug-in player for a guard or a big. He can adapt and fulfill whatever the team needs of him.
