SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA — The MADE Hoops and EHA Circuit collaboration put together another strong event in the Southern California area this weekend. The event featured a collection of show company teams from the EYBL, 3SSB and Puma circuits in addition to many of the top independent teams out west. Below we break down the best forwards and centers we saw at the 16u level.

Aiden Wanrow | 2027 | [program_tooltip program_id='2110367' first='Utah' last='Prospects']

Wanrow is a highly skilled and sneaky-athletic forward who, at 6-feet-8, already has the skill-set of a modern four/five man. The Brighton (CO) high school product is fully functional in a five-out style system with his ability to handle, pass and play in ball screen or dribble hand-off action. Wanrow can finish at the rim with either hand and with finesse or an explosive move to the cup.

Chris Brown | 2027 | [program_tooltip program_id='2110367' first='Utah' last='Prospects']

Brown had one of the best combinations of size, length, mobility and vertical athleticism that we saw at the 16u level over the weekend. At 6-feet-9 with a vast wingspan and ability to change ends of the floor with pace, the Dream City Christian (AZ) product is an effective rim-runner offensively and rim protector on the defensive end. Brown also showed flashes of back-to-the-basket footwork, touch and IQ.

[player_tooltip player_id='2484289' first='Devaughn' last='Dorrough'] | 2028 | Team CPSA

Dorrough made his impact as an interior finisher and high motor rebounder who tracked down missed shots in and out of his area. What stood out about the 6-foot-7 forward was his willingness to give extra effort place on both sides of the floor and the physicality he brought to the painted area both as a scorer and defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='2436298' first='Mahamadou' last='Diop'] | 2027 | Dream Vision

Diop is one of the most agile and athletic big men out west in the 2027 class. The 6-foot-8 forward is a quick-twitch athlete with explosive vertical leaping ability and a second jump that allows him to garner second chance opportunities for his team on the offensive glass. The San Gabriel Academy product looks to dunk every touch he gets around the rim and has elite rim protecting instincts and shot-block timing.

Miles Haselrig | 2027 | Beauchamp Elite (WA)

Haselrig is a fluid athlete with great hands at 6-feet-8 and it shows in his ability to score in variety of ways at the five-spot. The Elite Prep (WA) sophomore is a rim-running threat where he can gather and finish on the move, has great feel when rolling and scoring out of ball screens and used his size and vertical pop off the floor to seal for post touches and elevate and score at the rim.
