We released the updated 2028 rankings on Monday. Here are some of the Fastest Stock Risers:

[player_tooltip player_id='2714567' first='Isaiah' last='Brown'], Sandia: Sandia set a new state team record for most 3-pointers in a single season with 339 and Brown had a major hand in that accomplishment. He drained 92 3-pointers in 31 games, an average of 3 per game. Browen's job for the Matadors is simple: shoot as many 3s as possible. He attempted 253 3-pointers in 2024-25 compared to just 76 2-point shots. Combined with his fancy dribbling skills, Brown could be the most entertaining player in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='2714599' first='Izon' last='Guck'], Cobre: The 6-foot-1 Guck averaged over 13 points and 7 rebounds per game as a freshman in 2024-25 to help Cobre reach the 3A playoffs. He combined with older brother [player_tooltip player_id='2693613' first='Zavin' last='Guck'] for 38.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 5.3 steals per game this past season. Both Guck brothers return in 2025-26, so Cobre could have a huge season ahead of them.

[player_tooltip player_id='2714580' first='Gad' last='Harris'], Sandia: A dynamic two-sport athlete, Harris was part of Sandia's 3-point assault in 2024-25. He shoots the ball well (54 percent), rebounds, distributes the basketball and plays solid defense (3 steals per game). Harris is extremely quick, a skill he shows on the gridiron as a running back for the Matadors. Offered by New Mexico Highlands.

[player_tooltip player_id='2432180' first='Daylen' last='Holt'], West Mesa: One of the top young players in the Albuquerque Metro Region. Enjoyed a solid season for the Mustangs. The 6-foot-3 Holt has picked up right where he left off with an impressive performance for D1 New Mexico at a recent Puma-sponsored event in Las Vegas, NV. Holt has impressed scouts with his advanced skills set for such a young player, setting himself apart with his ability to score, defend and make plays.

[player_tooltip player_id='2714561' first='George' last='Smith'], Robertson: Another dynamic two-sport athlete (Smith is Prep Redzone's #1 prospect for the 2028 class), Smith helped lead Robertson to the Class 3A state championship by averaging 15.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. He connected on close to 50 percent of his shots. Smith played in all 32 games for the Cardinals, who finished an impressive 28-4.
