I caught Bedri for Grand River Academy this season and he stood out as a prospect with tremendous height and skill for his age. I liked Bedri's confidence to shoot from the outside and space the floor. I also liked Bedri's active hands defensively and ability to compete on the interior against older and more physically mature bigs. I'll be curious to see how Bedri performs this summer as I've only seen him against older competition, getting to see him against other players his age group will give me a better sense of his talents.

Maybe the most gifted vertical athlete in Ohio's 2028 class, Jones can fly through the air. At our freshman showcase camp Jones was dunking everything in transition and uses his vertical athleticism at both ends of the court by not only dunking but also blocking shots. Jones got some quality minutes at the varsity level as a freshman with 5.6 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. This is a name I'll be continuing to follow as we see this class grow and evolve.

A player I got to see a little bit as a freshman for Lakota East, Smith played in all 25 games as a freshman and scored 3.2 points and grabbed 1.8 rebounds a night. Showing some versatility as a defender, Smith averaged over half a steal per game in limited minutes. That matched up with what I saw in their season opener as Smith impressed with his fluidity on his feet and ability to defend on the perimeter and in the paint. I'm interested to see how Smith looks this spring because I haven't seen him since the early winter in person.

Another GMC forward who appeared in every varsity contest as a freshman, Trenz showed flashes in their season opening game Vs Little Miami and ended up averaging both 3.3 points and rebounds a night. Trenz also flashed some 3-point shooting ability with eight made 3-pointers as a freshman. With his size and early production, Trenz is a prospect I'll be keeping tabs on this summer as he plays for Midwest Basketball Club on the 3SSB circuit.
