GPCEC Watchlist Worthy: 2026 & 2027

GPCEC hosted an impressive collegiate showcase at Palm Beach Atlantic University on April 19, 2025. The event featured over 20 collegiate coaches and programs who guided players through various drills and games. This was a fantastic opportunity for players seeking recruitment opportunities, as many talented athletes were present. We will focus on players from the classes of 2025 to 2028. Additionally, there were some exceptional collegiate players in attendance.   All of the following players performed exceptionally well. They are still young, developing prospects. However, they have put schools and other talented players on notice that they are next up! Keep an eye out for them, they all have the potential to be impact players at the next level in a few years.    Mitchell possesses impressive size and athleticism. He consistently demonstrated to coaches his ability to score above the rim during drills. His finishing skills appear to be solid, and as a larger guard, he has the ability to make passes over the top. If he improves his off-ball movement as a slasher, he can become a more significant rim threat when he isn't receiving the ball on the perimeter. This enhancement will make him an even more sought-after prospect next year.     Prokop demonstrates strong court awareness and a solid understanding of spacing. He has soft hands and is capable of fitting into a role at the next level. He remained engaged in his rotations, regardless of whether the ball found him. He takes smart shots and is currently listed as a forward. However, if he is given more opportunities to develop primary ball-handling skills, it will significantly enhance his potential as a prospect in the coming years.     Brown demonstrated strong two-way skills on the court. He played with a lot of confidence, shooting the ball effectively, scoring in bunches, and creating opportunities for his teammates. He also made several defensive plays, showcasing his quick hands and ability to deflect passes. Brown took initiative during drills and communicated actively on the defensive end. If he incorporates more timely cuts and learns to exploit mismatches, he will be a highly sought-after prospect in the coming years.     Vilmenay is an extremely aggressive shot hunter. I appreciate that he has discovered how to play in a way that suits him during showcase settings. He demonstrated his scoring ability and his commitment to playing hard on every possession. However, he will need to improve his shot selection and utilize his teammates more effectively to reach his full potential as a scoring threat.     Williams currently has a collegiate physique and showcases explosive power when finishing at the rim. He is agile, demonstrating good balance and coordination. Additionally, he is an effective rim protector, capable of altering opponents' shots without needing to block them. If Williams can develop a reliable jump shot and the ability to initiate a fast break after securing a rebound, he would be an excellent addition for any team at the next level.
