After receiving an offer earlier in the day from New Mexico Highlands University Remy helped his team put on a show during their season opener. Albrecht kept his teammates heavily involved throughout the game. He threw an insane amount of alley oops as he helped lead his team to 111 total points. Albrecht knocked down a half court buzzer beater at the end of the 1st half. His steals on defense led to open dunks and threes for his team.

[player_tooltip player_id='2402829' first='Jerry' last='Moody'] made sure he secured every rebound in the paint. the big fella played with plenty of energy on the floor. He transitioned at a quick pace up and down the court all game. He never took a possession off during the big game in the auxiliary gym vs one of the top programs in the state. He ran from block to block making his presence felt on both sides. Moody improved his ranking by having a great high school season but i would not be surprised if he improves his position in the state of New Mexico.

DJ Speeds up the tempo on the floor. In the highly anticipated matchup with against his own high school team he never looked to walk the ball down the floor. He made it clear that he wanted to attack the defense to get the ball inside the paint to be able to make the game easy for his highly talented teammates. Anytime he received the outlet pass in the game Vs Highlands he pushed the ball down the court as quick as possible. He carried that same intensity to the other end of the floor. DJ applied defensive pressure to the opposing team all night long.

Zaire Used his elite speed to attack the rim. He was able to speed the tempo of the game up to get a few easy looks at the basket. Zaire showcased His nice touch at the rim for multiple tough finishes. When the game slowed down he was able to use his post work to still cook the defense. Zaire got to his spots in the post and even hit a defender with a mean 1 leg fadeaway.

Green showcased his deep three point range. His ability to attack and finish at the rim open up his jump shot for him. The defense has to respect his first step to the basket. Green did a great job taking advantage of the space that was allowed by the defense and knocked down multiple three pointers off of the dribble. He finally got bouncy with a dunk heading into the last few moments of the game. Green played great defense on and off of the ball leading to a plethora of fast break opportunities for his team.

Fuller once again showcased his ability to be a high flyer. He is a young talented player with a high motor on the floor. Fuller scored in just about every way possible on thursday night. He can create his own look by using his nice handles and quick twitch. With experience he will continue to improve his game. Fuller decided to go for a windmill of his own on a fast break.

Butler got the game started with a nice baseline dunk. His next bucket was shortly after when he finished an alley oop attempt with a nice layup. Butler then quickly scored his 6th point of the game with another flush. The run for him continued once he threw down another slam on the following possession to help extend the lead. As if the previous dunks were not enough he then had a fast break opportunity all to himself just a few possessions after the very early run. Butler elected to go for the windmill slam leaving the crowd stunned! He went on to reject multiple shots throughout the game and continued to dominate inside the paint.

Many of the top players in New Mexico faced off on Thursday night at Volcano Vista. These players completely took over the gym and put on a show for the crowd.
