<p>Prep Hoops Missouri presents its Breakthrough Players of the Year in each class. These players fall into different categories. They were players who were reserved who became starters who produced or good players who went off the charts this season.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">After averaging 12 points during a solid freshman year, the 2027 guard nearly doubled his scoring output in leading the Blue Jays to 25 wins and a berth in the state quarterfinals. He averaged 23 points, four rebounds, four assists and four steals while making 82 3-pointers during his tremendous sophomore campaign.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">After seeing limited time as a junior last season, the 2025 guard came back to enjoy an All-State year this season. The little lefty was on fire all season as he helped lead the Gophers to a 27-1 and the state quarterfinals. He was incredible in the sectionals against Brunswick when he scored 36 points and made eight 3-pointers.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">The 6'0 2027 guard emerged as one of the top players in the NWMO area. He's is a talented three level scorer with deep shooting range. He averaged 22.9 points. 7.5 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 4.5 steals a game.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">A 6'5 2027 forward who had a big sophomore season after limited duty last season. After averaging two points and two rebounds last season, he averaged 15 points and seven rebounds to lead Jefferson to a 20-9 record and a district championship.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">The 6'1 2026 guard was a good players who last season as a strong second option to standout guard Eric Shaw. When Shaw graduated, he elevated to the prime option and he was one of the top scorers in the state. The talented lefty averaged 29 points a game on 53 percent shooting from the field and 36 percent from 3-point range.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">The 6'4" 2026 guard has established himself as one of the top shooting guards in the state, but his big breakthrough came during the recent Final Four where a statewide audience got a chance to watch him on the state's biggest stage, which is the Mizzou Arena. That was when he put up a 34-point masterpiece in the Cardinals victory over Logan-Rogersville in the state semifinals. He averaged 20 points and five rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the field.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">The 6'2 2027 guard spent his freshman year at SLUH where he averaged eight points a game. He came to Borgia where he emerged as a prime-time scorer at all three levels. He averaged 22 points a game while shooting 40 percent from 3-point range with 98 made triples.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">The 6'3 2025 guard went from a sixth man role as a junior to one of the top players in the SWMO area as a senior. The smooth lefty bucket getter averaged 15 points and made more than 75 3-pointers in leading the Eagles to a third place finish in the state tournament. His 3-pointer at the buzzer to beat rival Kickapoo in the district finals was one of the shots of the season.</p>
