Mercer II is one of the most explosive ball handlers and scorers that you'll find in Michigan this spring. He pounds the ball aggressively off the ground and looks for a mistake or weakness from the defense. I saw Kurncz play this high school season and was very impressed with his offensive game. He attacked the defense in a variety of ways. DeRose is a mentally tough student of the game. He showed a very mature offensive game, especially considering that he was just a freshman.
