WHY?

His hustle and defensive effort were on full display at TC Takedown! Jones had several steals with his quick hands and multiple highlight-reel blocks. Andrew hoops with heart, effort, energy, and competitiveness.

WHY?

Brackins was a difference-maker and game-changer on the defensive side of the ball. He got into ballhandlers, played frustrating/relentless defense, and he made hustle plays all over the court. Anthony picked up loose balls, forced turnovers, and created offense on the other end.

WHY?

Gullingsrud is a skilled guard with a hockey player's mentality. He is tough and willing to do whatever his team needs to win. Excellent shooter, but always makes the right play. Ben sees the floor and is a willing passer. He is a loose ball magnet and is very strong, especially for his position. Gullingsrud rarely loses a 50/50 ball when it is in his vicinity. This kid is an all-around playmaker.

WHY?

Moen did the little things all weekend. He proved to be a scrappy guard who will box out bigger opponents, put his body on the line for loose balls, and play team basketball. Blair also rebounds very well for his size and position. He is a valuable asset to the 16U WCU squad.

[player_tooltip player_id='2429967' first='Brennen' last='Juffer'] (2027) |6'5 F| Impact/Lennox

WHY?

His length makes him a game-changer. He runs and jumps well. With that, Brennen takes away passing angles, alters shots, gets deflections, collects steals, and is a productive rebounder. This weekend, Juffer played the game hard, challenged shots, and flew around to the ball. This Oriole has potential!

[player_tooltip player_id='2843886' first='Carson' last='Beyer'] (2028) |5'10 G| WC Wildcats/Minnewaska

WHY?

Carson was all over the floor diving for balls and playing the passing lanes for steals. He had numerous steals that led to many breakaway layups. He is a physically talented guard who is looking to have an Impact next year for the Minnewaska Lakers.

[player_tooltip player_id='2843790' first='CJ' last='Fahje'] (2028) |6'2 SF| WC Wildcats/Pelican Rapids

WHY?

CJ did a great job attacking the basket all weekend. He used his size well against smaller defenders and his quickness against bigger defenders to get to the rim. Fahje was able to create many turnovers on defense with his length. He is a very talented prospect coming up for the Pelican Rapids Vikings!

Jack Welch (2026) |6'8 C| WC Wildcats/Pelican Rapids

The BIG Viking is a Game-Changer with his height/length/size! Welch provided rim protection, blocks, swats, and rebounding on both ends of the hardwood. He was a standout at TC Takedown. Jack has impressive size but he is also an Impactful and productive player on offense & defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='2841047' first='Jett' last='Nuest'] (2028) |5'9 G| WC Wildcats/Hancock

WHY?

He is a Lefty guard who was an offensive rebounding machine! Jett made many winning plays throughout the weekend. He also applied great full-court ball pressure. Nuest had a nice showing at TC Takedown.

[player_tooltip player_id='2408478' first='Kaiden' last='BearsTail'] (2028) |6'2 G/F| Pack/Bismarck Century

WHY?

He is finding his role with this Pack squad. Kaiden is going about it the perfect way by not forcing shots, going all out on defense, and boarding up. He offers up a ton of versatility and is quick to make an adjustment. He always finds the open man and has a nose for the ball when rebounding/playing defense. Kaiden is the latest addition to this team, but no less important.

[player_tooltip player_id='2442680' first='Keller' last='Hertz Barnett'] (2028) |6'6 F| BearsTail/St. Mary's

WHY?

I like his potential! KHB has noteworthy length and athleticism. The Saints have to be excited about his upside. At TC Takedown, Keller was productive on the offensive glass. He gathered in the ball for extra scoring opportunities. KHB was also unselfish with the rock. I thought he did a good job or working with & finding [player_tooltip player_id='2442325' first='Ty' last='Barman'] for open looks. He also made positive plays as a rim protector.

[player_tooltip player_id='1959424' first='Kolte' last='Garry'] (2026) |6'5 F| Impact/West Central

WHY?

He is a fierce competitor who hoops with high energy, his motor never slows down. Garry is a strong and physical player. I like how he never backs down from contact and how he is always attacking the ball. On offense, Kolte is a selfless passer. He knows where the shooters are, but he is also an efficient finisher. Garry is a great glue guy and an excellent team player.

Boll is a blue-collar workhorse! He proved himself to be a tough and energetic ball player. He always seems to be in the right place at the right time and has a nose for the ball. Reace has great rebounding instincts. He cleaned up on the glass at both ends and created multiple extra scoring opportunities for his team every game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1541563' first='Sean' last='Le'Shoure'] (2026) |5'9 G| NLBA/Grand Forks Red River

WHY?

He was a tough defender all weekend. Sean applied ball pressure and he tired out the opposing lead ballhandler. He tipped passes, stole the ball, and won 50/50 balls. He created easy transition offense, showed off his speed, and did not give up on plays. Sean never takes a play off, he keeps coming at you, and he makes his opponent work the entire game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2409449' first='Sonny' last='Alberts'] (2028) |6'6 F| Pack/Four Winds-Minnewaukan

WHY?

He proved himself to be an underrated baller. Sonny is an all-around positive player. His calm demeanor is only a front, he is a dog! Sonny finishes around the hoop in a variety of ways. Shoots it well out to 3pt land with a high release. He also fights for rebounds aggressively. Alberts will be making noise this offseason.

[player_tooltip player_id='2375504' first='Weston' last='Kraft'] (2028) |6'0 G| BearsTail/Bismarck Legacy

WHY?

He had some quality scoring games and looked good on the offensive end, but what really caught my eye was Kraft's hustle and energy. whenever Weston was on the court, he was ubiquitous. I admired his effort when going after loose balls and saving the rock from going out of bounds. He also created turnovers and blocked shots. Kraft was opportunistic in transition, he put up plenty of points in the uptempo game.
