George Wythe put on an offensive show in their blowout win over Franklin, and nobody was better than [player_tooltip player_id='2761885' first='Reed' last='Kirtner'] today. Reed dominated the first half, and he could not miss from deep. Even though Reed was having a great day shooting, he didn't settle for shots and had a handful of strong drives when he was run off the line. Reed had 25 first-half points and finished with 30 points in 22 minutes.

George Wythe is a good three-point shooting team, but their shooting was truly at another level in the final. David Goode was another guy who had a great game for Wythe. David competed on defense and had 13 first-half points. He was outstanding shooting the ball, and if not for some early foul trouble and the game being out of hand, he could have had an even bigger game. He finished with 16 points and 14 minutes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2452107' first='Knox' last='Axselle'] got started early, knocking down 2 first quarter threes. He had a tough and 1 later in the half as well. You can tell Knox is the coach's son. He knows where to be and has a good read of the game. He knows when to get his offense and be effective as a scorer without dominating the ball. Knox is an excellent shooter with elite range. He finished with 14 points and 6 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='2242389' first='Will' last='Hopkins'] is one of the better guards in the state for 2025. The thing I always like when I watch Will is his mix of athleticism and balance. He's like a quick running back when he gets downhill because he's able to take and give contact with defenders because he's so on balance for a guy moving so fast. Will knocked down a lot of mid-range and had some nice passes. He finished with 17 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='2548293' first='Conner' last='Wilcox'] had a great second half for Atlee. Conner is the lone nonsenior starter for this Atlee team, and I think he will be a real star moving forward. Conner had a three at the third-quarter buzzer, then followed that up with a three at the start of the 4th in a sequence that broke the game open for Atlee. He also had a dunk that put an exclamation point on Atlee's state final win. He finished with a game-high 18 points and 8 rebounds.
