The matchup of St. Patrick and Mount Carmel was an absolute slugfest between the two Catholic Schools. It was a nip-and-tuck game until the final moments of the game when the Shamrocks managed to force a bad shot and turnover to get just enough space to win the game. Here are the best players from last night's 3A Super Sectional at UIC.

The big man was a key factor in the win. RJ scored the majority of his points off pick-and-roll plays keeping the ball high and scoring layups. He's a solid wide post player who creates space well and keeps things simple around the basket. McPartlin led with 12 points and 8 boards.

[player_tooltip player_id='2815595' first='Nevaeh' last='Hawkins'] St Pats 2025 6'7

Hawkins was a game-changer on defense playing the agitator at the top of the zone defense. Neveah was constantly hounding guards forcing them to make bad decisions or just get the ball out of their hands. He was a monster on the glass and scored some big put-backs that pushed the Shamrocks over the edge. Hawkins finished with a respectable 9 points and 7 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='1845357' first='Noah' last='Mister'] Mount Carmel 2026 6'2

Mister was pretty quiet until the fourth quarter. He only took 4 shots in the first half before he got aggressive and on offense. Noah would proceed to hit 4 threes in the fourth quarter alone to keep the Caravan afloat before the final moments of the game. Mister finished with a game-high 22 points.

Cameron Thomas Mount Carmel 2025 6'3

Thomas created a good flow for himself early in the game. He made some shots and was able to get a steal that he would convert to a layup. He played with energy that led me to believe he was about to dominate the game. For some reason he didn't take as many shots towards the second half of the game. Cam has a natural scoring ability and it's possible that Pats' 1-3-1 defense slowed his shot selection down. Cam managed to score 12 points and pull in 7 rebounds but he and his squad came up just a bit short in the contest.
