The state semi-finals gave us a new list of names to be aware of going forward!

Ayden Cappo of Cherry (6'4 2025). Cappo is the worker Cherry fifth starter who is now quite as well known as the other four, but today he played his role to perfection hitting four shots including a three. Scored ten key points in the Tiger win.

Will Gieseke of Red Lake County (6'2, 2026). Red Lake County will be good again next year and its guys like Will coming back that will give them depth (along with [player_tooltip player_id='1628768' first='Connor' last='Duden'] of course). Will hit three threes in the loss today for a 15 point game along with five boards and five assists.

Jaxton Hastad of Dawson-Boyd (6'3, 2027). Hastad was a big part of the DB win scoring on 7 of 11 attempts for his 15 points plus he grabbed eight rebounds and dished out six assists. It's been big name after big game for the top DB players and now we can throw Jaxton in there. The Jacks may not be as big next year but they sure have talent coming back including Hastad.

[player_tooltip player_id='2447860' first='Braeden' last='Justin'] of Albany (6'2, 2026). What did Justin do? Make threes. Defend, move the ball, and make threes. And I feel like all three of his threes came at key times for Albany.

Chris Ohnstad of Waseca (6'2, 2025). Chris hit two threes and some big foul shots late to get to double digits but it was his defense, passing and steady hand to help out in key spots that helped the Jays get to the final game last night.
