The PSAL-CHSAA held their second tournament championship. With the CHSAA winner in double AA takes on the PSAL champ. Last season Stepinac who seems to have a regular date in this tournament defeated Eagle Academy Brooklyn. This year Thomas Jefferson stood in their way of back to back titles. Stepinac was in charge most of the game but saw a 19 point lead disappear in the 4th quarter but their championship DNA withstood a furious rally from Thomas Jefferson to seal a 69-67 victory.

Hassan continued his excellent play from the regular season. His whole versatile game was on display. He does it on both ends of the floor. With his size and athleticism he guards the ball really well but is exceptional coming out of nowhere to alter or block shots. Offensively he was at his best off the bounce. His pull up game is enhanced by his ability to stop on a dime and drain jumpers. All of these attributes led to him garnering the MVP.

The future UMASS player had to make his future coaching staff and fan base very happy. Danny ran the offense with his usual poise and killer instinct. Danny can knock down deep threes but is also equally effective slicing and dicing to the rim. A winning warrior .

Dylan made sure it was not going to be easy for the Jefferson players to do their scoring inside. Dylan has great athleticism and a great strong frame. Scores with authority inside. Runs the floor with a purpose. Does all the things it takes to win games that are not always shown in the box score.

The Stepinac program will be in good hands with Josh skill set and a strong nucleus of other young players. They already understand it's a winning culture that has been established. Josh is a playmaker with size. Shoots it really well off the catch or off of his own dribble, The offers have been coming in and where he started with low D1 he is now getting high major D1 offers.

Jasiah is a stat stuffer. A dog on the defensive end with his ability to guard. Very skilled with the ball. Jasiah gives you points rebounds assists and steals like I said a Stat Stuffer.

Adonis's stat line for this game was very impressive. So again expect to see Stepinac quite possibly in this report next season as well. With the young talent they have. The junior big man had 8 points inside and out, 11 rebounds and 14 blocks. So he was a big part of making it difficult for Jefferson to feel comfortable at the rim.
