<p class="text-gray-700">Earlier this season I profiled Benson (10 ppg.) after he posted a string of double-digit scoring efforts during Central League action. But across Penncrest's run to the 5A state quarterfinals, Benson took his game to the next level. Over his last two 5A tourney games, Benson averaged 19 point per night. He poured in a state tourney high 24 points (3 triples) against a defensive minded Neumann-Goretti squad in Penncrest's quarterfinal loss. In the state tournament, Benson's ability to score in transition as well as off the bounce in the half-court was especially impressive. His effective use of hesitation dribbles and spin moves got Benson into the paint quickly. Once there, the agile Benson got buckets via floaters, runners and lay-ins. Benson's did a fantastic job of converting through contact too. If the help-defense managed to cut Benson off from the rim, he kicked out to open shooters. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Byrd holds the reputation of being an automatic three-point shooter and he has popped triples throughout NG's run to the 4A semifinals. In addition to lacing threes, Byrd has scored by attacking his defender off the bounce and getting to the rim for lay-ins. Still, it has been Byrd's distribution skills that have really turned heads during the state tourney. Byrd (4 apg. in states) has proven that he can deliver well timed passes in pick-n-roll action as well as designed sets. Byrd also excels at pushing the rock in transition and then delivering a live dribble dime to a teammate. During NG's 1st Round victory over Antietam, Byrd recorded 14 points and 4 assists. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Hughes (1st Team All-SOL selection) has been a key part of UM's road to the 5A Final Four. In UM's 1st Round defeat of Abington Heights, Hughes assembled a stat line of 16 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocked shots. For an encore, Hughes posted a double double of 17 points and 12 boards during UM's 2nd Round win over York Suburban. Hughes is an athletic and versatile small forward. On offense, he is an efficient interior presence who produces points via dives to the rim and the offensive glass as well as by operating in the dunker. Hughes can also fill a lane on the fast break and then finish with authority. At the defensive end, Hughes is an elite shot blocker and plus rebounder.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Parkland's run to the 6A quarterfinals was led by the Nassry's incredible scoring efforts. Over the last two weeks, Nassry's complete offensive bag was on display. He produced points in transition, drained threes, scored off the dribble and via the offensive glass. College coaches will love Nassry's ability to relentlessly pressure opposing defenses with his dribble drive skills. They will also be intrigued with size, end-to-end speed, agility, and physicality. Across Parkland's three 5A tournament contests, Nassry posted 19 points per night. In the 1st Round, Nassry exploded for 27 points (3 threes) in as he led Parkland to a victory over Downingtown West</p>
