RCS Sports Unsigned Senior Showcase Standouts

With the transfer portal opening up days ago these seniors are looking for an opportunity to play on the next level. These four unsigned prospects have a strong case to play on the next level and should definitely be offered by college coaches within the next couple of weeks. I will be discussing what these four prospects brought to the table during the RCS Sports Unsigned Senior Showcase!    Solomon Mihelcic is a 6'4 guard from Westside High School who brought his A-game to the RCS Sports Unsigned Senior Showcase. First his defensive impact was evident as he showed he can be versatile on that end of the floor with his ability to defend multiple positions and challenge shots at the rim. Secondly on offense he shot a very high percentage from the three point line hitting five of them in his first game. Solomon has great mechanics on his shooting form setting his feet right before catching the ball and is always ready to shoot when open. His hustle rebounding on both sides of the floor was great to see as well putting in the extra effort to impact the games he played in. During one of the games I watched him play he told his to team to slow it down being up 12 with 5 minutes left showing his leadership. College coaches that need a shooter that can bring productivity on both ends of the floor need to be looking at Solomon.     [player_tooltip player_id='2555105' first='Brendan' last='Ballard'] is an 6'7 big man that has been on the rise with his production on the AAU circuit thus far and I expect that to continue as the summer goes on. During the RCS Sports Unsigned Senior Showcase he used his size to his advantage getting a ton of rebounds on both sides of the floor. Offensively he showed he can finish around the rim creating for himself in the post and rolling off pick & rolls. Also he has the capability to step out on the perimeter and make shots from that area. In the post he has good vision passing out to open teammates within the flow of the offense making great reads. Expect Brendan to make some noise this summer and contribute right away to a college program.     [player_tooltip player_id='2383510' first='Shawn' last='McKinley'] is a 6'6 big man with a strong frame that he uses to make an impact on the floor. Evidently Shawn showed he is a very solid rebounder on both ends of the floor securing possessions defensively and giving opposing players problems keeping him off the offensive glass. He doesn't give up his position defensively in the post easily as opposing players had a hard time making paint shots over him. Offensively he sets really good screens with his teammates getting wide open shots off of them. Shawn can definitely bring a lot to the table with his play style.     [player_tooltip player_id='2556595' first='Deshaun' last='Lewis'] is a [player_tooltip player_id='2556233' first='6'2' last=''] guard that is on the rise in the AAU circuit being noticed by other scouts recently. Offensively he excels really well at slashing to the basket on offense with a quick burst on his drives. When cut off during his drives he likes to use a counter spin that is very effective in the paint to get his floater over defenders. Defensively he guards on the ball well and strips the ball away from opposing players driving to the basket. A college program that needs a slasher that can contribute on and off the ball should definitely look at Deshaun as a viable option.
