Noteworthy Performances From The MHSAA D3 District 86 Finals

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tonight we head to Whiteford High School for the D3 district 86 finals. Coach Randy Windham led the charge for SMCC in his last run with The Falcons. They met the Bobcats of Whiteford on their home court, with both student sections alive on a Friday night. Drew scored from every level for the Falcons, whether it was from beyond the arc, a post fade, or flushing it at the rim. While Vuich was impressive on the offensive end, he was even more impactful on the defensive end. Drew had multiple dominant blocks, where his athleticism allowed him to go straight up and meet players at the rim without fouling. However, the best part of Vuich's game won't show up in the box score. Joerin handled the ball well and limited turnovers. He used crafty moves like snaking his defender to get him on his backside. Foster shot it confidently and efficiently from three, forcing his defender to meet him several feet beyond the three point line. Ian is not a one trick pony though, he didn't live or die by the three. Foster got to the rack and made multiple tough finishes. His high release allows him to rise up over defenders and get off shots that others would deem too contested. Delmotte was also able to step up and handle the ball when necessary.
