Playoff Central. Benson beat Hancock and Tayte Antolick led Benson with 22 points, 14 rebounds, four steals, three assists, and two blocks! A full load of numbers for the junior who pretty much had the game of his career. Plus, 6'7 Benson junior Harold Habben had 25 points and seven rebounds and [player_tooltip player_id='2524777' first='Lanadreon' last='Goodwin'], a sophomore, had a 17 point, 11 rebound double-double! This is a young team to know as they have talent, size, and they are all coming back. Seventeen wins this year so far.

The Big Stage. The one place to see two games tonight is at St. Michael Albertville High School where the 5AAA section semi-finals will be played between neighborhood public vs private rivals Fridley and Totino-Grace as well as top ten ranked Monticello and upstart Beker who has 17 wins. Two games, one night, one playoff!

The Magic beat the Dogs in both regular season meetings while TG and Fridley are playing for the first time since last year's section playoff game.

Upset City. Melrose won seven games in the regular season this year but that didn't stop them from taking down 16-win Annandale who was a preseason top ten ranked team in Class AA. No box score can be found but it was a big win for the Dutchmen.

Top Performers. The all knowing TC Hoops Czar had a look at Rockford beating Maranatha Christian 82-77 last night and the headliner was Senior Grant Kloss scoring 30 points highlighted by five threes plus he dished out at least seven assists.

Senior [player_tooltip player_id='2808020' first='Pharroh' last='Holliman'], who averages 22 points, 7.5 rebounds and three assists a game shooting 37.5 percent at the arc, had 16 points and seven assists in a St. Paul Humboldt win over Mounds Park Academy.

Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2127769' first='Miles' last='Vogenthaler'] scored 20 leading St. Paul Academy past NOVA Classical in the sectional win.

Tip of the Hat to the Career. Tip to [player_tooltip player_id='1437495' first='Evan' last='Weichert'] of New Prague. The Rockets knocked the [program_tooltip program_id='2075965' first='Trojans' last=''] out last night as expected and it ended the career of Weichert who scored nearly 20 a game this year. Evan is a player that many feel has great potential but injuries have had him in and out of the line-up the past two years. When he gets into college basketball and is fully healthy, don't be surprised to see Evan become an outstanding college basketball player.
