The 4A State Tournament finished up last weekend at Forest Grove High School and after three days of competitive games, Baker won the title for the second year in a row. Here's a quick look at the players that made the All-Tournament teams and their performances.

First Team

[player_tooltip player_id='1380947' first='Isaiah' last='Jones'] (2025 Baker)

Stats: 23.0 ppg, 8.3 ppg, .466 fg%, 1.000 ft%

While there is no official Tournament MVP, the fact that Jones was the only unanimous selection for the All-Tournament Team speaks for itself. The 6-foot-2 senior guard pretty much did it all on both ends for the Bulldogs in their title run, whether it was scoring the basketball in multiple ways or really getting after it on the defensive end. His double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds in the title game against Marshfield capped off a brilliant high school career where he will likely earn 4A Player of the Year honors. On the college recruiting front, coaches from Eastern Oregon were in attendance at his games.

[player_tooltip player_id='2819969' first='Steel' last='Carpenter'] (2025 Marshfield)

Stats: 24.0 ppg, 2.7 spg, .722 ft%

The Sky Em Player of the Year ranked second in the tournament in scoring, led the field in three-point field goals made (11), and overall played a huge role in the Pirates getting to the final game. His ability to get hot from the outside required defenses to focus in on him, which opened up opportunities for teammates as well. In the 4A finals, he led the team with 18 points and four steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='2747514' first='Bryce' last='Lowenbach'] (2026 Crook County)

Stats: 16.7 ppg, 13.0 ppg, 2.7 apg, 3.7 bpg, .618 fg%, .750 ft%

Lowenbach, the lone non-senior named First Team, was the best big man in the tournament. He led everyone in rebounding and blocked shots, fully utilizing not only his size but his long arms to make said impact on the boards and on defense. Offensively, he wasn't limited to scoring just around the hoop as he was more than capable of going outside and knocking down the open three with his favorite spot at the top of the key. The Cowboys are moving up to 5A next season but should make an impact thanks to the return of Lowenbach.

[player_tooltip player_id='2819976' first='Jaxon' last='Logsdon'] (2025 Baker)

Stats: 13.0 ppg, .368 3pt%

Logsdon was particularly big for the Bulldogs in the huge semifinals win over Cascade, notching 20 points while knocking down four threes. The hard-nosed senior was also a factor for Baker on the boards and on defense as well throughout the three days in Forest Grove. Baseball will likely be his sport at the college level but there was no doubt Logsdon proved himself also as a hoops standout during his varsity career at Baker.

[player_tooltip player_id='1368277' first='Landon' last='Knox'] (2025 Cascade)

Stats: 20.3 ppg, 2.7 apg, 2.7 spg, .316 3pt%, .864 ft%

Doing a tremendous job of balancing scoring and leading the offense during the length of the 4A playoffs was Knox. The senior guard kept defenders off balance with his dribble moves, and he couldn't be left open from the outside for fear of him getting hot from three-point range. He had an outstanding all-around effort in Cascade's third-place game win over Mazama with 19 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals. Knox is looking at some NAIA and D-III possibilities and we'll have a recruiting update on him posted soon.

Second Team

[player_tooltip player_id='1953757' first='Kaiden' last='Ford'] (2025 Cascade)

Stats: 26.0 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 3.3 spg, .861 ft%

The leading scorer in the tournament, Ford may not have shot the greatest percentage from the field but was very effective at getting to the free throw line, where he converted at a very high percentage. The senior lefty was also the field's leader in steals, showing he was very active on the defensive end. Ford recently finalized his college recruitment by committing to Linn-Benton.

[player_tooltip player_id='1496192' first='Tobias' last='Akpan'] (2025 Phoenix)

Stats: 18.3 ppg, 11.0 rpg

Proving himself as a very difficult matchup due to his combination of bulk and strength was Akpan, who ranked among the tournament's leaders in both scoring and rebounding. In the Pirates consolation round win over Scappoose, he notched 26 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals while shooting a robust 10-for-15 from the field and he was the only Phoenix player in double figures in the consolation finals with 11 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2819964' first='Luke' last='Jackson'] (2025 Marshfield)

Stats: 15.3 ppg, 9.0 ppg, 1.0 bpg

One of the taller guys in the tournament at 6-foot-7, Jackson actually did the majority of his damage on the offensive end using his silky smooth lefty stroke to hit jumpers or floaters off the dribble. The senior forward was effective on the boards and his length was difficult for opponents to deal with around the hoop. On the recruiting front, Jackson noted that he's hearing the most from NWAC schools such as nearby SW Oregon and Linn-Benton.

Rasean Jones (2026 Baker)

Stats: 6.0 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 3.0 apg

Despite not being a focal point on offense, Jones certainly did the dirty work for the Bulldogs, hitting the boards hard and providing interior defense. He showed off some deft passing skills finding teammates streaking to the basket, and on the occasion he did showcase his incredible strength and leaping ability by throwing down a highlight reel two-handed slam in traffic in the semifinals against Cascade.

[player_tooltip player_id='2747516' first='Jace' last='Jonas'] (2026 Crook County)

Stats: 14.0 ppg, 2.7 apg, .500 fg%, .636 3pt%

A tremendous athlete who also excels in track, Jonas was able to exhibit some of his athleticism during the tournament. He capably scored hitting jumpers or getting to the hoop and creatively finishing, was devastating in transition getting ahead on the break, and also made an impact on the defensive end. A junior, he'll be a key guy for the Cowboys as they either the 5A Intermountain Conference in 2025-26.
