It's that time of year again where we do our quarterly rankings updates, and we will start with the senior class! We've had quite a while to compile our 2025 rankings over the past four years, so we had a solid list already but that doesn't mean things haven't changed with transfers and shakeups throughout the list.

We will be doing content throughout the week on new additions, biggest risers and positional rankings. Here's a look at part one of the top point and combo guards in the senior class.

25) [player_tooltip player_id='2571766' first='Prodigy' last='Simms'] | 5'10” PG | Eastern Mennonite (#78 Overall)

Simms is one of the best players in Harrisonburg and one of the most underrated in the state, as the 5'10” lead guard is one of the most potent bucket getters you will come across. While he isn't the biggest guy he has in the gym range and shoots it at a high clip from deep, he is shifty off the bounce and can create space and he's a crafty finisher around the rim too.

24) [player_tooltip player_id='2242394' first='Daron' last='Moore'] | 6'0” PG | LC Bird (#76 Overall)

Moore has been one of the best guards in the Richmond area over the past few years, but the development he's shown from a leadership and true point guard perspective over the last year or so has been very impressive. He's a tone setter who can guard the ball and force ball handlers into mistakes, he sees the floor well and can deliver a variety of passes on point and he's an excellent scorer in the midrange and around the rim.

23) [player_tooltip player_id='1767518' first='Kenny' last='Chicas'] | 6'2” PG | Woodgrove (#73 Overall)

Chicas has been one of the top guards in NOVA public schools the past few years, and as a senior he's been putting up impressive numbers all season long. The 6'2” lead guard is a true playmaker who handles pressure and sees the floor well, he's quick and shifty off the bounce to get by defenders and he can score the ball from all three levels effectively.

22) [player_tooltip player_id='1521039' first='Ethan' last='Collins'] | 6'3” CG | Wise-Central (#70 Overall)

Collins is a two sport star who also thrives on the football field, and he's been one of the best players in SWVA since he stepped on the floor as a freshman. At 6'3” he's a big and strong guard who can get downhill and play through contact, he can score it from multiple levels, he makes others on the team better and he's able to play and guard multiple positions as one of the taller players on his team.

21) [player_tooltip player_id='1259634' first='Gavin' last='Cormany'] | 6'1” CG | Oak Hill Red (#64 Overall)

Cormany burst on the scene when he led Radford to a state championship appearance as a junior, then decided to transfer and reclassify at Oak Hill on their Red team where he's put up stellar numbers throughout his time there. He's a talented shot maker who can drill it from deep off the catch, he can create space off the bounce and make tough shots in the midrange and at the rim and he brings a lot of toughness on both ends too.

20) [player_tooltip player_id='1202411' first='Daveyon' last='Lydner'] | 6'2” CG | Bethel Academy (#59 Overall)

Lydner transferred from Philly powerhouse Westtown to Bethel Academy for his senior season, and while they're an independent program who sometimes people forget about he's shown he's one of the best guards in the NOVA area this year. The 6'2” combo is a big time athlete who has cat like quickness off the bounce to blow by defenders, he can make shots from all over the court off the catch or off the bounce and he is a very solid defender who can guard the length of the floor too.

19) [player_tooltip player_id='2340862' first='Jaxson' last='Davis'] | 6'0” PG | Centreville (#58 Overall)

Davis took a solid jump in our rankings as he's been putting up big numbers for Centreville in his senior campaign, and he's one of those guards that can just flat out “boogie” as I like to say. While he isn't the biggest guy he has a huge impact on the game as he can handle it and create shots in isolation situations, he's a good athlete who is dynamic in transition and he can get hot and fill it up in bunches when he gets it going.

18) EJ Schneeburg | 6'2” PG | Potomac School (#55 Overall)

Schneeburg has quietly been one of the most effective lead guards in the DMV over the past few years, as he's helped resurrect a Potomac School program that's been very good over the past few years. He's a throwback lead guard who gets his team into sets and makes everyone better with his playmaking ability, he knocks down open shots at a good clip and he can make something out of nothing when his team needs him to.

17) [player_tooltip player_id='1956065' first='Jackson' last='Britt'] | 6'3” CG | Evergreen Christian (#45 Overall)

Britt has always been an intriguing prospect with his advanced skillset and good size at his position, and during his senior season he's really taken off as he's put up big numbers on a regular basis. The 6'3” combo is a scoring machine as he can drill it from deep and get to spots off the bounce where he can make tough shots, he can create for others on his team with his vision and he leads by example with his hard nose style of play as well.

16) [player_tooltip player_id='1225266' first='Jeremiah' last='Gorham'] | 5'11” PG | Highland (#44 Overall)

Gorham took a big leap in the rankings after his steady play this summer, but then he's been putting up numbers for a Highland team that has played a national schedule including playing in the Elite Prep League with some of the best post grad schools in the country. At 5'11” he isn't the biggest guy but he's a talented shot maker who has great footwork on his pull-ups, he can knock it down from deep with good range and he makes great decisions with the ball in his hands too.
