BELLFLOWER — Last Friday's CIF Southern Section Open Division playoff game between Redondo Union and St. John Bosco featured two very good programs with multiple highly-ranked prospects. Redondo rallied from a 12-point second half deficit to take a 77-75 victory and the Sea Hawks threw a wrench into the potential pool play outcomes with the upset. Below are the ten best performers from the game.

Best Scorers: [player_tooltip player_id='1956470' first='Chace' last='Holley'], Redondo | [player_tooltip player_id='1630620' first='Elzie' last='Harrington'], Bosco

On Holley: The dynamic junior guard scored 15 points for the Sea Hawks and his ability to get downhill and put pressure on the rim in transition underscored what allowed Redondo to make its comeback. Holley got to the rim, finished through and around contact and knocked down a timely three-pointer in the fourth quarter.

On Harrington: The 6-foot-5 point guard is known for his ability to make plays for teammates and manage the game with his vision, passing and IQ but the USC-bound senior needed to put points on the board in this one. Harrington scored a game-high 24 points, including three 3-pointers and a perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line.

Best Shooters: Brayden Miner, Redondo | [player_tooltip player_id='2571744' first='Devin' last='Wright'], Redondo

On Miner: The wiry 6-foot-1 guard has established himself as one of the region's premier 3-point shooters this season and his impressive long-distance impact was on full display. Miner knocked down six three-pointers en route to 18 points and only needed a couple of dribbles to get his looks as he used screens and off-ball movement to free himself for clean looks.

On Wright: The 6-foot-3 junior knocked down three triples in this one with each of them coming in moments where Redondo needed to cut into the Bosco lead or break a scoring slump. Wright possesses elite shooting mechanics and is especially effective from the corners and wings.

Best All-Around Impact: [player_tooltip player_id='1956526' first='SJ' last='Madison'], Redondo | [player_tooltip player_id='2131780' first='Christian' last='Collins'], Bosco

On Madison: When it comes down to needed a stop or a big rebound or basket, Madison always puts himself in that mix. The 6-foot-4 junior wing seemingly spent time defending every Bosco player at some point throughout the game and made big defensive plays down the stretch that helped seal the win.

On Collins: The 6-foot-8 junior wing/forward scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds in the two-point loss and scored nine of his 16 in the fourth quarter. Collins impacts the game on both ends of the floor with his versatility and quick-twitch athleticism.

Best Supporting Role: [player_tooltip player_id='1630621' first='Hudson' last='Mayes'], Redondo | [player_tooltip player_id='2131779' first='Brandon' last='McCoy'], Jr., St. John Bosco

On Mayes: He is usually the go-to guy offensively for the Sea Hawks but the Braves' defense did a good job of keeping him at-bay for two of the four quarters of action. Mayes, a 6-foot-4 wing, didn't force any bad shots and made the most of the opportunities that came his way as he scored 13 points, seven of those in the fourth quarter, to help Redondo secure the win.

On McCoy: He doesn't often play a supporting role, but McCoy realized that Harrington had it going offensively and allowed his teammate to take control of the game. McCoy had a quiet first half that saw him score five points, but he came out scorching in the second half as he scored 11 points of his 18 points in the third quarter.
