NYC Borough Championship Saturday Standout Ballers

The NYC Borough Championship Saturday was packed with high-energy matchups, fierce competition, and standout performances from the city's top basketball talent. From clutch plays to dominant displays on both ends of the court, many ballers made their mark, proving why they're among the best in their boroughs. Here's a look at some of the standout players who shined brightest on championship Saturday.    Naquan is a player a lot of coaches would love to have. He plays in flow of team and he makes his presence known offensively and defensively. Naquan hit big shot for his team in the Brooklyn Borough Championship game. He had timely baskets and made huge defensive plays for example the huge charge in OT that helped Jefferson maintain the lead and win the game.     Rich made his return and and it was felt in a huge way. On Saturday he played with great poise and pace. Rich is shooting the ball and scoring the ball on an elite level. He had 23pts on Saturday and made it look effortless. Rich has a good handle which helps get around the court and get his shot off when he wants. On defensive he plays with great pride and passion.     Abdou is an interesting player. Standing at 6'10' he is raw but plays with great intensity. He is a major shot blocker and shot changer in the paint. He can step out to the mid range and will shoot an 3pt shot. His shot looks good just needs more reps. He is a great offensive rebounder and he usually finishes above the rim.     Ahmad played like a leader today. He didn't hang his head when his team got down early. He used his size to get to his spots to create his own shot or for his teammates. He plays with good pace and his IQ is very high. At his size he creates mix matches on the floor because he is a 6'5 PG. Ahmad will be ready to play at Norfolk ST next year.       Amadou is a very crafty pg and plays with a good confidence. He has a good handle and he uses it to get to floater or all the way to the rim. He is a good FT shooter so with the ball in his hands down the stretch his coach has no worries. He plays to his strengths which is getting in the lane to create for himself or his teammates.     Elijah played this weekend like he was a seasoned veteran. He played under control and he made huge plays for Eagle when the time was right. He made a huge 3pt shot and made another bucket to help Eagle keep their lead. Elijah will continue to get better so keep an eye out for over the next couple of years in the PSAL.       Mckhel played this game like it was his last game of his career and it is not. Mckhel is only a Sophomore but he played with the passion of senior. He is a pest on defense as he was in the other teams PG shirt all night long. On offense he played a great floor game setting up his teammates as he recored 9 assists. He made clutch playes and bug baskets also. He is a coaches dream.
