<p><strong>Playoff Central.</strong> La Crescent knocked off Triton 81-70 meaning a team under .500 beat an 18 win team. [player_tooltip player_id='2423202' first='Berkley' last='Mlsna'] had 19 points making all of his foul shots, A'Jaydis Patschull had ten points and seven rebounds, [player_tooltip player_id='2405439' first='Julian' last='Olson'] had 19 points with six boards and four assists highlighted by six threes, [player_tooltip player_id='2559388' first='Keaton' last='Holter'] had 16 points and, Ryan Nutter had eight points and nine boards. [player_tooltip player_id='2559388' first='Keaton' last='Holter'], a La Crescent 6'2 junior, did a great job of hitting the four threes but also supplying some energy in his effort plays. Thought he was a key part to this win. La Crescent was the more balanced team which is why they won the basketball game, and they don't get that offensive balance if junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2405439' first='Julian' last='Olson'] didn't stretch the defense with six threes made. [player_tooltip player_id='2119578' first='Pierce' last='Petersohn'] had 34 points and 15 boards in the loss.</p>

<p><strong>Upset City</strong>. Cotter, who was 11-15 coming in, beat 20 win St. Charles, in a 52-51 game. Cotter got up 37-22 and held on for a one point win. The Saints roared back but came up just short. Mateo Lopez-Amor scored a dozen to lead Cotter. </p>

<p><strong>The Big Stage.</strong> We aren't at a big stage spot yet, just pigtails in Class A Section 2, and a ton of sub-section quarters in Class AA Section 3. Windom Area against Fairmont is likely the most interesting game of the night. </p>

<p><strong>Top Performers</strong>. Schaeffer Academy got 32 points and 15 rebounds from [player_tooltip player_id='1452981' first='Ethan' last='Van Schepen'] in a win over Spring Grove last night. Ethan is a 6'3 wing that has been multi time all league senior. </p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2126464' first='Gavyn' last='Lorenson'] had 25 allowing Lake City to beat Rochester Lourdes. Lorenson is one of the hottest prospect names in the 2027 class right now. </p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2104535' first='Brady' last='Kittelson'] scored 23 points leading Blooming Prairie past Wabasha-Kellogg. Brady is a future USF football player but right now he is getting double doubles for the Blossoms. </p>
